Fab hotel clean nice decor , guy on the desk was lovely all very friendly. Great location right by the front round from St Marks square Breakfast round the corner also gorgeous plenty of choice & staff lovely we had a fab time...

Staff young man on the desk when we arrived Alexadro, I think, was very pleasant. Young lady on breakfast duty was great.
Breakfast was poor, scrambled egg was more like one big omelette & the only hot thing to eat....

Good value if you want that iconic lagoon view in Venice.

This was a special trip to our favourite city and we wanted a view of the lagoon. We looked long and hard and found this "unique room" the Paganelli.
It is amazing with full width windows opening onto a large terrace overlooking the water. There is even a retractable awning for sunny days.
So private that you could look down onto the crowds below and they never saw us. We looked at the other posh hotel - the Danei...

We arrived by water taxi from the airport which berthed right opposite the Paganelli.
Check in was smooth and porter carried our cases to the room which was in the annexe of this hotel. Location is absolutely perfect on the front over looking the lagoon a short walk to St Marks Square and within easy reach of all main attractions via the water bus service right outside the front door. Downright dangerous for anyone with physical or accessibility challenges. To change lifts on the second floor (the ground floor lift stopped there, the second lift went from there to the top floor) involved four changes in floor level, high & slippery polished-stone stairs, and no handrails at all on an "up and over" stair arrangement of 6 stairs that spanned close to 3 metres (see photos).
