We booked the Anantara Palais Hansen Hotel over a year in advance to celebrate my wifes 50th birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary. We were very excited and looked forward to staying in this renowned property in a junior suite.

Lovely hotel looks like a palace. Great rooms and great location. Room was very big and well-appointed. Try dinner at Edvard Restaurant if you can swing it - separatee entrance from hotel....

Everything was perfect. The rooms were well furnished, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent. However, it was the members of staff who made the stay such a pleasure, from the people on reception to the concierge team to the staff working in Theo's and Sophie's. I recently attempted to book several rooms at this hotel, and unfortunately the experience was extremely frustrating. Although the property advertises a *Best Rate Guarantee*, my request was **refused even after I provided full proof and screenshots** of a significantly lower available rate (over $278 per night difference).
