First time in Vienna, chose Hotel Daniel at random as it offered excellent value for money when booked direct. Great location, only 10 minutes walk from Rennweg Station so easily accessed from airport, less than 20 minute walk to city centre but well served by public transport if needed.Right next door to Belvedere Palace, a must visit for art lovers. Absolutely the most basic hotel Ive ever been in,a toilet with no wash hand basin a shower in the middle of the room no fridge or kettle for making a cup of tea,on the plus side the bed was clean and comfortable although the pillows could be better...

Room under renovation and rude staff

To begin with, the room had a remodeled ceiling, full of holes.
A 4 star hotel should have communicated the situation when booking, but this did not happen.
When this was pointed out to the front desk staff, they did nothing to improve the situation, did not change the room, and were not at all kind....

Fantastic location. All the staff we met were very polite and helpful. I think quirky describes the style, which is fine in the bakery/bar. However, we felt you can go too far, especially in the bedrooms. The beds were lovely, the bathing facilities were all great.
