My wife and I spent 5 nights in Vienna at the Post Hotel. Located on a quiet street on the edge of the central district of Vienna, the Post Hotel is walking distance to.... EVERYTHING!!! Most of the palaces, museums, sites, subways and restaurants are either a short walk, or a VERY short walk! The Post Hotel is rated 3 STARS but by North American standards it is more like 4 STAR. A nice central location in a fairly quiet street, with lots of restaurants nearby. It's walkable to the U and S line trains. The hotel is fine, with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Toiletries but no kettle or fridge. Good breakfast, although the eating area gets crowded at peak times....

Lovely hotel in the city center

I had a huge room with a high ceiling and a huge bathroom. Everything was spotless. The breakfasts were great and the dining room manager was so sweet. She went out to get me vegan cold cuts.
The hotel is right in the city center. Everyone at the front desk was helpful with directions for getting around the city. I was able to walk to most sights....
