Super hotel in a great location

Just arrived home from a fabulous 3 night stay at this property. The hotel is centrally located to tram, train and bus links which enabled us to pack a lot of sightseeing and shopping into our short stay. The hotel itself is warm and inviting. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel mainly to see the Christmas markets.
The hotel is 5 minute walk from the metro and some great restaurants.
It is walking distance to a lot of the sites.
The hotel is quiet and slightly tucked away so nice for relaxing.
We arrived on an early morning flight but couldnt check in until 3pm but the staff were lovely and let us leave our bags so we could go out and explore.

Fantastic location, easy access to public transport. Very friendly staff.
The hotel decor is very traditional and could be modernised but I loved the vibe of it.

Great Location, But Poor Service Experience

The hotel is in a perfect location just a 6-minute walk from the train station and surrounded by plenty of restaurants. However, the hotel staff were a real letdown.

A top hotel in Vienna

My wife and I spent three nights in the Mercure Grand while visiting Vienna. From the very first we were impressed by the helpfulness of the staff. We arrived at midday about three hours before check in with the intention of just leaving our bags at reception but the lady checked and found our room was ready and gave us the keys.
