It was an excellent hotel, nice room and excelent breakfast. The subway is very close and it was very easy to reach all the main attractions...

Location is almost good - about 30 minutes walk to city centre or 20 minutes to the subway station.
Rooms - small, dated, dusty , almost feeling sick. The carpets must be vacuumed ASAP;
THE TOILETS ARE FROM THE ERA OF THE EMPEROR!!!! MUST CHANGE THEM! HORRIBLE!
The breakfast is ok! Good Quality....

Wonderful hotel. Great value for money and a wonderful, central location. Breakfast is great- not just continental as some European hotels are. Adjoining restaurant is good (but pricey) Bonus is the Hofer (Aldi) next door. Grab a sandwich for lunch or a bottle of wine for later. (£28 in the bar!) As long as you realise everything closes on Sundays....

Quaint good location but disappointed no lounge or bar area open to use.
Staff very friendly but surprised had to ask after two days if room was going to be serviced. My single mattress of twin had springs coming through! Would have preferred just shower as shower wrong end of bath as screen could not open against sink so very slippery having to get into shower from other end of bath!

We stayed at the Mercure for 4 nights and found it was well located to explore the city. A lot of the sights were within 20 minutes walking distance and the railway station is around a 10 minute walk with a rail link to the airport and also an underground terminal which we made use of. Tickets for the underground are easy to obtain from the ticket machine.
