Sand, salt and sea
Portoroz is the top tourist spot on the Slovenian Coast, boasting sandy beaches, with promenades packed-full of restaurants and bars. When the sun goes down, the party starts here, with a very lively nightlife. Although its neighbour, Piran, is best-known for its salt pans, Portoroz also has some nearby, where you can do a spot of birdwatching or find out all about the old-age way to make salt, that’s still used to this very day.
