With a boss beach, a famous coastal path and a popular cliff bar, Cala'n Porter holidays are a hit with the bucket-and-spade brigade.
Southern star
Cala’n Porter is parked on the cliffs above a top sandy beach, on the Balearic Island of Menorca’s sunny south coast. And this place has stood the test of time, being one of the earliest beach resorts to spring up on the island. It’s easy to nip across to the capital, Mahon, too, where the narrow streets are packed with boutiques and bars.
Knockout sands
Just like most of Menorca, Cala’n Porter’s beach is wrapped by forest-caked cliffs. It’s burrowed into the coastline, which means the waters are tot-friendly. Plus, in summer, there’s a mini-train to run you down there, so you don’t have to brave the 180 steps. It’s got all the essentials and more – think sunbeds, kayaks, play areas and a couple of bars. And there are extra eateries up in the town centre.
