Booked a week. British Airways canceled the flight so by the time I arrived I lost one day. I had booked a superior room but when I arrived the room was so small there was nothing to put the suitcase on to open it besides the bed and so many stains in the carpet I had just recovered from knee surgery and there was no shower but a tub that was impossible for me to step into because of my surgery. Genuinely the comfiest hotel bed Ive stayed in. Great location in Schöenberg with a load of good bars and restaurants around, easy to access the U12 to get to other areas in the city. The rooms arent fancy, but they are perfect for a city break. The staff are the best part, Kevin and the other reception staff were so friendly!...

Very friendly staff, and clean comfortable rooms. Update to add USB charging points might be a good idea to eliminate need for adapters etc .. And. maybe proper instructions for shower (ours was stuck on boiling until we managed to unstick / turn it down to manageable). Hotel is located about 5 mins stroll to Wittenbergplatz (u-bahn and bus) or a little further to Zoologischer Garten (u-bahn, s-bahn, bus and RB/RE...

We've stayed many times at the Axel Berlin. They are still on the upswing. Great staff, comfortable beds, well appointed rooms, fun spa, renovated gym (compact but does the job), perfect location, delicious breakfast, efficient and friendly front desk (douze points to Kevin and Roxanna)...

Very friendly & welcoming staff, sorted out our room and gave us loads of advise for our trip around Berlin , shout out to Roksana for all her help rooms very nice comfy beds and making out first visit to Germany one to remember will definitely stay here again next time in Germany...
