First the positives: Perfect location for exploring and amazing, friendly, and knowledgeable staff with lots of advice and tips on how to make the best of our stay. The bed was clean, and fresh and the bathroom was clean and functional.
Close to the Tram station and some nice reasonably prices restaurants and bars and a little supermarket with a good selection of goods.

We have just returned from our stay at The Grand Jules Hotel. Yes it was a bit tired, but we had a great stay for the price we paid. We had a twin cabin with a city view. The room was fairly big, the bathroom quite small and as a bigger person I found dressing after a shower a bit of a challenge, but hey, who doesnt love a challenge! My boyfriend and I saw images of this hotel online and booked through loveholidays and we were completely disappointed. As soon as we entered the room there was an awful smell and there was hardly any room to walk around.
The wallpaper was peeling off on areas and there were unsettling stains all around the room, on the bed and in the bathroom. Our air con wasnt working and the TV was not flat-screen as advertised...

Stayed 2 nights at end of October 25, very tired old ship, gangway carpets wrinkled for hard of walking, needs lots of TLC to bring up to standards of today. We had double room, no tea/coffee facilities although staff did make us one on fri night for a charge. Rooms very small but you can expect that on an old boat. Didn't hear much noise from our city cabin. Breakfast really needs looked at, fri morning not much lef...

Well, worth a stay.
Perfect location
Small room but adequate and very clean.
The breakfast is excellent
Choice of pastries, eggs, sausage, fresh bread.
Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly....
