Welcome was positive. Had stated on the booking that it was a 50th birthday but no mention or welcome note even in the room. We were allocated room 001, which was of a good size. The shower pointed only in crazy directions, but otherwise, it was fine. However, it is close to the bar and reception area and although the bar closed at 10pm, we were woken at 4am on the first night and 1am on the last night by guests sitt...

A lovely hotel in appearance, very well situated near to the centre, but far enough away so not disturbed by people passing and the noise of traffic.
Staff were friendly and check in was smooth without issue. Our safe did not work but this was resolved quickly.
