We stayed in Intercontinental in August. Really happy with the hotel location, amenities, room (especially with the look from our room at Danube west-coast, Buda) and services. Normally, to stay in hotel of this level, would cost a small fortune (in some countries), but in Budapest the cost was still affordable. Breakfast was among the best I have ever seen .. Centrally located at the bank of the Danube River with a direct incredible view of the Buda Castle. Just outside the hotel is the Chain bridge that linked to Buda. Well appointed, clean, comfortable room with friendly staff throughout the hotel. Easy walk to all attractions in the city. Great service at the club lounge, serving a good breakfast and evening cocktail. The hotel should replace the elevators as it is old...

A lovely hotel well appointed and very well located next to the Danube. Beautiful views from the room. Nice lounge, bar, reception. Great breakfast in the club lounge with very good service.
The lifts were the only slight issue, under refurbishment two out of four were out of use. The waits were excessive but tolerable...

A lovely experience slightly marred by the lack of working lifts

The view from our room was stunning. The service was excellent and the staff were very attentive and provided cake and bubbles for my partners birthday.
Unfortunately, 2 of the 4 lifts were out of order. This made it extremely difficult to get to our room on the 9th floor especially when large parties from the Viking ships were booking in.
