Fabulous Hotel - for staff and location.

Lovely hotel with very clean rooms and friendly staff. Situated 5 mins from the Danube, its in a great location, within walking distance to most sight seeing attractions of Budapest. Pedestrianised street so no traffic noise, and a great Irish pub on the corner, and a deli Bars and restaurants within minutes, it really is a great hotel to stay in for a lovely long weekend in Budapest. I will definitely be booking...

Stayed at this hotel as part of a four night city break. Upon arrival to the hotel the receptionist when initially very welcoming, we were able to leave our cases and returned to check in later on. We were unaware that the hotel did not have a lift therefore we had to carry two suitcases up three flights of stairs. On entering the room, it was very dated and basic. Stayed in September as a group of friends. A very unpleasant experience overall ;
- no lift - x3 flights of stairs
- poor breakfast/ lack of choice (no toaster), food left uncovered the night before
- rooms outdated
- mouldy shower / fridge
- shower screen kept coming off rollers / dated furniture in room
- no additional safety lock on doors or windows
- no basics in bedroom (eg kettle, iron, safe)

Fantastic stay here. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Special mention for Greg. The breakfast staff went the extra mile.
The hotel is ideally placed to access the hop on hop off buses, which the hotel sell. They have knowledge of all attractions and are very helpful in advising places to stay.
Rooms on the first floor are the best to get. The rooms themselves are ideal for short stay city breaks.

We stayed in the refurbished rooms on the first floor which we reccomend as there is no lift to the upper floors the hotel is very clean very friendly staff who speak english the room is very clean and large the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast is very basic serving fried eggs scrambled eggs .the small sausages you find all over europe .cereals fruit and juice .personally we would have liked a toaster there is...
