I will be happy to return once they have renovated the rooms. Most reviews I have read here are consistent in what they mark as problems. All heating is provided by air conditioning which is noisy. Sanitary equipment was adequate and clean and breakfast was better than expected. However, the area around the hotel is not inviting and so is the outlook from your window. A good basic stopover hotel.

Comfortable Ibis budget hotel with convenient location for the motorway.
Breakfast was simple but nice and staff were welcoming.
The location is surrounded by car retailers and industrial type units but there are a variety of fast food and better restaurants within a mile.

The hotel was majorly overpriced but this was due to the euros. The location was good and it has transport into the city centre nearby and was easy to use. The hotel was clean and quiet during the night.
Found the receptionist to be warm and welcoming into the hotel on arrival....

Clean, comfy, outside of LEZ zone but incredibly expensive for an ibis 'Budget'

400e for 2 nights for 2 rooms is a crazy amount of money for an ibis Budget. Just paid 100e less for a Lovely house in Bruges! However, hotel prices in Koln were incredibly high family of 5 we had little choice . Did the job but certainly not worth that amount of money.
It was clean, comfy beds and powerful showers as a positive. Let's be honest thank goodness it was at that price.

I am sure that everyone that is booking this type of hotel knows what they are going to get, a functional room with no frills. The beds are comfortable, the shower works and you get WiFi. Good for one, but a squeeze for two. So all you romantic couples out there, you need to look elsewhere!...
