The location is convenient for public transport but you pay the price, they will keep you up all night.
You will pretty much have to have the window open 24/7 as the room is ridiculously hot and the aircon doesnt work, so youll hear the trains, trams, traffic, and most notably the constant ambulances ALL night.

The hotel was good and very clean. My room overlooked the courtyard, so it was nice and quiet. My friends had rooms facing the street, and they mentioned that the trams/trains were a bit noisy in the morning.
We ate at the restaurant on the first night the food was good, though nothing outstanding. The breakfast buffet had a very decent selection, and I cant say a bad word about it.

VERY GOOD FOR THE EXHIBITION CENTRE

Very convenient for the exhibition centre, literally a short walk. Clean and comfortable with an excellent restaurant serving great steak. A buffet breakfast is good starting at 6 am. The lobby bar is a bit slow, with no bar staff on duty, so you have to ask someone to serve you. I would definitely recommend this hotel....

If you're attending the Interzum Fair in Cologne, the Dorint Hotel Köln Messe seems like the obvious choice directly across from the fairgrounds, promising pictures on Booking, and advertised comfort.
I specifically booked a Superior duplex room because I needed somewhere appropriate to work after exhausting days at the fair.
I paid 1,262.64 for three nights.

To anyone considering Dorint: dont mistake the branding for basic human decency.
I stayed at Dorint Hotel Cologne, where my luggage was stolen from their own front desk cloakroom. What followed was insulting negligence, discriminatory behavior, and outright legal denial.
