We stayed in a Queen room on the 2nd floor. It was fine, but a little tight. The bed was more an American Queen (rather than a European 160cm) in size. It was warm, but the windows do open to cool things down when needed (I could not get the thermostat below 23). I wasnt too sure what to expect as a lot of the pictures of the hotel were quite old but I figured we were only staying one night so how bad could it be? To say the hotel exceeded my expectations would be an absolute understatement!

If you dont mind amenities or having below to subpar service, this place is for you. The location did not have guaranteed parking for guests.
No executive lounge or perks for diamond members other than breakfast and complimentary vouchers for drinks. Front reception service was not great. The guy attempted to charge the wrong amount and had to be corrected twice- so for folks who dont typically check the rate, yo...

We stayed at the Hilton Cologne in April while visiting the city for a theme park trip, and it was a brilliant experience. We stayed for two nights and were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to a suite thanks to Gold status. The room was lovely really spacious with electric blinds and a massive, comfortable bed.

The hotel is situated very close to the train station and is a great base to explore the city.
