I had the socalled luxury room with balcony on the Rhein River. The room furniture Need a complete remake. The quality Is really youth hostel and quite old. Sometime the positive comments on the TripAdvisor are misleading....

We did enjoy our stay in this grand and historic hotel overlooking the Rhine (although parts of it's history are understandably airbrushed air-brushed from its website). Our room was spacious and comfortable; and the reception staff were helpful. But the grandeur seemed a bit faded, and as so often it hotels of this type the evening meal was disappointing - although the breakfast buffet was fine....

Very disappointing stay at grossly overpriced hotel

We spent 200 Euros per night on what we thought was going to be a very comfortable four night stay at Hotel Dreesen but were very disappointed. The hotel is in a prime location directly looking out on to the river Rhine and in a quiet residential area in a large and historic building. The Rheinhotel Dreesen, aka Das Weiße Haus am Rhein, is our favourite hotel when visiting Bonn and surroundings, for the following reasons:
Its location in a quiet side street in the Villenviertel [Villa Quarter] of Bad Godesberg just outside Bonn proper but with excellent connections to the city by public transport as well as a straight shot by car to the central car parks of Bonn.

Historical Hotel on the Rhine River

This hotel has a lot of old world charm but with a modern and comfortable rooms.
The rooms have everything you could need with a lovely spacious bathroom with a bath and shower (located in the bath).
The staff are lovely and willing to help out with everything. The breakfasts are delicious and it is a full spread on whatever you could possibly want for breakfast.
