Middle of summer, 30oC heat and the air con doesnt work. Temperature in room 35oC lead to an unpleasant couple of nights sleep. Staff said theyd fix it, but that didnt happen. Seems to be across the whole hotel....

This is a lovely hotel in an area well appointed for both shops and a bit of sightseeing. I am a bit perplexed reading other reviews as the room was very clean (cleaned every day) and the staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The pool on the ninth floor was great, which my husband and I paid an additional 10 euros each and really enjoyed. There were no issues with the lifts, which we never waited any length ...

Lovely room and good location but I wouldnt recommend this hotel.
I had to complain as the room wasnt cleaned. After 2 phone calls to reception over an hour later the manager was just rude & the room was still unsatisfactory.
Based on the attitude of the manager of the hotel I would avoid entire chain altogether...

It all started very well at Clayton, Düsseldorf. A very efficient check-in and the room was ready although we arrived very early. The room was big and of very high standard and the breakfast excellent, actually one of the best I have ever had. My husband booked this hotel for my 60th birthday. He also payed for a cake and a bottle of champagne to be I the room on arrival. We arrived at 11,00pm to no cake, no champagne and a very dirty bathroom. As it was late we complained the next morning to the reception staff. We got an apology and was told that the cake and champagne would arrive soon. We went back to our roo to await it arrival. Thirty minutes late...
