Gorgeous weekend in an amazing hotel

What an gorgeous hotel, with very friendly staff, and they are also very service minded and proactive.
We were checked in by a very nice lady, Winnie, who also gave us an amazing room upgrade (thank you!)
The hotel bar is nice, the restaurant food was good and the breakfast was very diverse and complete. The breakfast quality was very good....

Location is good thats it..
The noise from construction work was horrendous. The was no heating or AC system working, and the front desk arranged for portable heaters. There was no ability to charge drinks / meals to room and the food selection was basic and very limited.

We had booked and paid for a room for 3 adults. When we got to the room there was only one bed. We had to go down to reception and someone brought us a fold up camp bed that was totally unsuitable. We paid for a bed for each adult and a camp bed is unacceptable. They changed it for another camp bed but that too had springs sticking up. Where to begin!!! Travelled to Düsseldorf with a group of 14 friends. We booked a mix of double and triple rooms. On arrival we were advised that the triple rooms were not ready and to come back later. After a long day traveling (up since 3am), we were exhausted. We finally got our room keys and arrived into a room for 3 adults which had one double bed.

Avoid avoid avoid. One of the worst hotel experiences Ive had. Upon check in (large group with several rooms booked), Winnie on reception was rude and unhelpful. Questioning our booking until another staff member took over. Two of the triple rooms were not available to check into yet, which wasnt an issue.
