Estival Islantilla

Myself, husband and 3 year old stayed here late August and had a wonderful trip. We tried everything clubs, crèche, classes, gym and had the most incredible experience. Staff in the crèche were very organised and fun. This was the first time I had left my daughter in a crèche before and I can say I felt very happy leaving her there she had a wonderful time and was well looked after. The TUI team are fantastic and work incredibly hard to make the holiday fun and enjoyable the entertainment though out the day and evening was fantastic We enjoyed the food there was a different theme each night. Yes I can agree that this hotel is mainly Spanish and Portuguese but at no point did we feel left out or unhappy about this, all the staff spoke English and treated us the same as the Spanish/Portuguese guests. We enjoyed making the most of the quieter meal times and when most of the residents had a siesta the pool was lovely and quiet. We really liked the relaxing mornings as you are not aloud to reserve a sunbed until 10am it was nice not to worry about rushing down in the morning. Our room was fantastic. It had everything we needed and it was so quiet I can honestly say I didn’t hear a sound from any guest or staff though out the duration of our stay and I am a very light sleeper. we had a room that wasn’t a sea view We used to take a wonder along the strip most nights where there is a huge bouncy castle for the kids and a lovely little market. The beach was nice, not the best but nice for a change of scenery We will definitely be booking another family life holiday again and would love to visit this resort in the future

Me, my partner and my 2 year old little girl stayed here in September. The childrens entertainment was great, there was always something on for all ages day or night. The tui reps tried their best to keep everyone entertained and I enjoyed the local acts they would have on some evenings. There were sports classes you could attend and guest against reps activities which were fun. They have baby and childrens clubs that were fantastic and a baby lounge with an indoor play area for babies. Staff were very accommodating and kind. The food selection was amazing for most of the holiday. The burgers and hotdogs served daily in the bar are gorgeous. The buffet had a couple of themed nights which were delicious however towards the end of our two week holiday these ended and by day 8 the food became very samy and bland (it was as if they were using up food as it was coming to the end of September- end of season). However I just say for the most part of the holiday the food was plentiful and varied. Good childrens selection also. Guest relations were great and couldn't do enough for you. Cleaners were thorough and rooms and hotel were immaculate. They had indoor gardeners who were constantly maintaining the plants outside your rooms. Rooms were spacious and modern, we had a sea view room which was stunning and well worth the upgrade. Views were breathtaking. After reading reviews I took my own coat hangers and I'm glad I did as there wasnt enough hangers supplied for three of us. There are plenty of things to do in the area. A small shopping complex which is a five minute walk down the promenade and if you walk 20 mins further you will come to a lovely town with ice cream shops,restraunts and shops etc.. There did seem to be quite a lot of 'rules' at this hotel however,for example they would often do a March with a mascot around the poolside, naturally the children would want to high five and hug the mascot but the tui/hotel staff would make the children wait until they have danced and even then the mascot would only stay for a quick photo and disappear. You're not allowed inflatables in the pool and even in the evenings you cant drink out of glass cups but these things were only minor inconveniences to me. When I booked this trip I was especially attracted to the Mexican restraunt they had on premises. When we tried to book this on arrival we were told it was "out of season" although the hotel was super busy and it was only the beginning of September. This was quite disappointing but again something we were not too upset about as the food selection and quality was high in the buffet and bar. Alcohol and soft drink selection was good, we had a trip to loule market (portugal) which was a superb excursion with gypsy markets and english breakfast cafes!! I will definitely be coming back again with my family we all loved it! Overall I would highly recommend this hotel!
