Disappointing return visit

We visited this hotel last year and were happy enough to book again on a return visit. Unfortunately we regretted our choice. The room was very hot and there was no way of controlling the temperature. When we spoke to reception about this we were told that the air conditioning and heating was off. It wasn't clear why this was the case, and we couldn't keep the window open at night as our room overlooked the main stre...

Visited here at the start of November for 3 nights.
Such a lovely hotel, perfectly located. The roof top bar and pool is such a special bonus to this hotel and was perfect for some winter sun! The lunch/drink menus were all delicious! Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. We opted for bed and breakfast and again, couldnt fault the breakfasts!

Overall I was very impressed by the staffs' attention and care when it came to gluten free. Each day at breakfast I was provided with gluten free bread (fresh from the oven in a little sealed baking bag) and a selection of gluten free pastries (also individually bagged from a bakery down the road). I have stayed here before and whilst it wasnt perfect, I liked it enough to return. It was a disappointment this time.
Pros:
Very close to centre but in a more peaceful location.
Rooftop bar is good value and has great views.
Food on rooftop bar very good quality.
VIP area is good to have as an option.
Good sized bed - we like a super king bed and the bed (presumably twin beds pushed together) was comfortable. ...

We booked this hotel following a recommendation, so glad we did. Friendly staff, fantastic location, super clean and not too busy even when fully booked.
Staff assisted prior to our arrival with booking gifts and were quick to respond to any questions..
Roof top bar is great to sit, relax and take in the views of the beautiful city.. well worth booking and we will be back again... thanks to all the staff .....
