The young woman checking me in was amazing. I believe her name was Cielo (I think I butchered the spelling.) she was very kind and professional, she was also kind of training a student. She handled my request perfectly. I love the fact she recognized my status with IHG and offered me an upgrade without me having to ask. She really made me feel welcome. A very competent hotel; nothing flash or amazing; just works well on a few levels.
Location is not quite in the centre of Munich, but near enough. Get off at Rosenheimer Platz and follow the signs to the hotel - you don't have to come out onto the street (although I did). You'll pass a large supermarket, which is convenient if self-catering. If not, there are plenty of dining options - fast-food or nice dining - very...

I stayed here for a total of 3 nights in January of 2026. It was actually two separate stays at the beginning and end of a trip. So, I was in two different rooms. I had a good experience both times. Here is what I would share:
Breakfast is not included in the rate I had. I paid 31 Euros for it. It was pretty good and had a lot of choice.

We booked a BA city break from the 5th to 9th January and the Holiday Inn Munich City Centre was the recommended hotel by BA. We wanted a 4 star hotel in the city centre to make it easier to get around and as a base for day trips to Dachau and Salzburg. The hotel is connected to the underground S Bahn from airport or main train station.
Very easy to get around the city, with lots of food options nearby.
Comfortable and clean rooms.
The staff were friendly and nice.
Overall a good stay....
