Located perhaps 70m from the Oslo Central Station, adjacent to the tram and bus terminal, next to Karl Johan Gate and literally across the street from Oslos two leading shopping malls, theres nothing you cant easily do from here.
Given the location, noise might be an issue for rooms facing out onto the streets, but the hotel has lots of rooms that face the quiet courtyards. The hotel is build across three differe...

I asked for a twin room and got a double, then i was asked what i prefer a room
With a view or a quite room. I ended up with a super noisy tiny room without a view. Sleepless nights! Horrible....

We stayed here recently when visiting friends in Norway for 2 nights. Picked due to good price and location to station.
We travelled into Oslo from the airport via train and the hotel is literally across the street from the station entrance so location wise it is perfect.
Check in was nice and easy, staff were lovely. There was a hospitality strike of some kind ongoing when we were there so were informed at check in ...

As the name suggests Scandic Oslo City is the ideal location to access Oslo's comprehensive public transport. Buses, trams and trains are literally a stone throws away (for those with strong arms!). This makes visiting the city's many attractions a piece of cake. The English speaking staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is satisfying. Scandic Oslo City is a short 5 minute walk from Oslo Central Station, and a 30 minute train ride from the airport, OSL. The lobby has the reception desk and plenty of seating and a nice bar. The breakfast room is located at the back of the reception, and sadly there is no longer a restaurant on the premises, having said that, there is restaurants, bars, and, shopping just a few steps away from the hotel.
