When we come to Oslo this is where we want to stay. It's easy to get to from the airport and is in a great location. Great rooms and beds giving a good night's sleep....

The hotel is actually quite nice. It's starting to show its age and wear and tear a bit.
A bigger problem, however, is how the company's service is gradually being replaced by a hard-nosed focus on profit and creative psychological methods, like advertising the same room at three different prices.

Delayed plane caused me to miss train, and this forced me to check in at Scandic Vulkan. This cost me a shocking 2700nok for one night. It pisses me off on the fact that Scandic take advantage of unfortually travellers that are stuck in Oslo over night, and charge a 200-300% fee ekstra. And this was a room that was not sold for the night, would have been standing there empty all night if I was not forced to stay in ...
