Quiet and central Oslo hotel with great location and breakfast

The Scandic Vulkan's location was great in that it was walkable to everywhere we went in Oslo (waterfront, Grunerlokka, Vigeland Park, etc.). It's about a 25 minute walk from the train staion. The area is right next to Grunerlokka/Mathallen so food/shops are close. The area is not touristy and is quiet. The rooms are tight and clean. The breakfast is amazing - lots of variety....

Rooms are basic but comfortable.
Staff friendly and helpful.
Amazing breakfast buffet. Great selection. Delicious bread. Best scrambled eggs ever.
Handy to choice of restaurants.
Not for you if you want to walk from the train station. But just a short ride.
Or public transport if you dont have too much luggage...

Very good service, everybody was friendly like Gabriel in the counter. He give you best tips around the city and other the comes from Portugal is also nice, in the restaurant are all cool but special a guy from Argentina. The location because of the Mathalle (food court ) nearby and amazing fur snacks an empanada, tapa eating or just drink a beer. The rooms and beds are comfortable, no pool but theres a nice small...

Worst experience ever. The toilet in my room was dirty. Pee on the toilet. So it was not cleaned before I checked in. Makes me wonder how the rest of the cleaning was. I got a new room, but still not ok....

Another visit go this lovely hotel.
Breakfasts are good and full of variety.
Rooms are clean and bexding can be changed daily on request.
Another enjoyable stay....
