A price to pay for the view

This is our first time staying at a Eurostar. I am Marriott Platinum Elite. 1st time in Porto and we wanted a view of the Ponte Luis bridge. We booked 2 rooms. One with a view of the bridge and the other a simple room with 2 beds for our adult kids. We were greeted at the front desk by a lovely young lady who spoke great English. Outworn Eurostars as a sign of ill-fated quality

The location of the hotel is relatively far away from the center. The service of the breakfast is too pretentious given the fact it is just a 3-4 star hotel. The quality of the breakfast is dubious. The coffee is good, the food selection could be more contemporary including egg Benedict on the brioche with guacamole....

Well located. Do use the metro which is just outside
Rooms are large & shower room was excellent. Push button rainfall shower. Nespresso machine chocolates & a free bottle of water. Room service was ok. Staff are helpful. My only quibble apart from the lack of view, was there was no full length mirror and the light switches were the same colour as the door so they were hard to find....

We had a fantastic stay at Eurostars Porto Douro! The location is perfect right in Porto with easy access to the main attractions and beautiful riverside views. The hotel is modern, stylish, and very comfortable, with clean rooms and thoughtful amenities.

Overall we were very happy with this hotel. Our room was on the 4th floor, clean and well furnished and spotless clean. Comfy bed and pillows and quiet efficient air conditioning . Our balcony had a high ridge but we did not see this as a negative. Reception staff were, welcoming and professional Room was cleaned everyday along with fresh towels.
