The stay itself was pleasant and the property is undeniably beautiful, with the charm and atmosphere one would expect from a hotel positioning itself in the luxury segment.
However, the overall experience was unfortunately diminished after check-out. Despite having a final bill of over 400 euros and believing everything was fully settled at departure, I was contacted after my stay and charged separately for a 10-euro...

This the most wonderful place, the building and rooms are stunning, Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, the bathroom had all that was needed with an excellent rainfall shower, breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and if you can, do the Blind tasting experience, it was superb. Florbela serves delicious pastries and also some savoury options

Excellent central localization, very clean, cosy and confortable hotel, nice artistic decoration, staff very kind and professional,
Buffet breakfast very good.
Lovely view of Douro river....
