When we drove up it was apparent that it matched Atlanta Ga in thematic climate and closeness to troubled population. We made the decision to not even check in as when on vacation we want to walk around and this was obviously not going to happen here. This is our story : We checked in to the Vila Galé Porto . At the first night we discovered that the air conditioner and TV in our room were not working, it was damn cold that night in the room. Just returned from a 3 night stay here.
It is definitely not a 4* hotel but it has everything you need for a decent break.

What hotel does not provide an iron in the room. A bathroom that you cant fit in and no wardrobe space. You have to request coffee making facilities. Awful! Currently trying to find somewhere else to stay. Not a 4 star at all! Bar is tiny and similar to faulty towers, dated and in need or modernising....

This Hotel provides great price for quality service. Due to its proximity to Campo 24 Augusto metro station you can easily access wherever you want in Porto and can easily reach the Hotel from Airport.
