    This hotel’s just outside the centre of stylish Puerto Banus. You’ll come across a first-rate selection of shopping and dining within 20 minutes’ walk – it’s mostly centred on the pretty marina area.

    Water babies have plenty of choice here. You’ve got three really spacious pools to pick from, and kids have their own trio, too. Plus, you’ll find the hotel’s private beach club – with its own bar – a five-minute wander away.

    Disappointed , sad to do my first ever bad review but this place is poor. We arrive to be told of 2 hour wait for room. When we got room it resembles a prison cell.we asked to move but told to wait until tomorrow as nothing available. Next day told nothing available unless we pay to up grade if we wait a few days. Asked to see manager, her assistant arrived saying she is manager . Explained situation and she says not my problem. You booked with Jet2 see them. She started shouting and got very aggressive. We agreed to pay further£150 to save our holiday and get out of room with tiny window that had bars on it. After this she and other staff were less than helpful and pretty much ignored us. The pool area is like a swamp and the upgraded room was basic.on the plus side the lady at pool side bar was very nice and helpful.

    After reading all the bad reviews we were very worried about this hotel. From the min we checked in we really enjoyed everything about our stay. We were in block 7 and the room/bathroom/balcony was huge! It was so nice and roomy. We had a bath and a separate shower. No charge for the safe which is unusual in a hotel. We went for a walk round the grounds which were immaculate and very pretty. It was so clean and well kept. There are 2 pool areas but to be honest the smaller one doesn’t really have room for too many beds and is in the shade a lot but if you want peace and quite it’s ideal We were worried about the pool not opening till 11 and yes there are glass gates stopping you getting in bit at the bottom end of the pool near the bar there is no gate so you can go in at any time, just please don’t reserve a sunbed as it’s just not British 😂 The pool area is lovely, it’s grassy so not slippery at all. The pool is very clean but cold but that’s not a bad thing in a hot day. We stayed B&B, breakfast is ok, you will find something for everyone. I had read reviews that the lunches were a bit rubbish so just made up sandwich’s at breakfast and took some fruit. No issue at all. Cappuccino is amazing! Hotel is not directly on the beach, it’s about a 5min walk bit it’s not a problem at all. The walk into Peurto Banus is lovely, it’s about 20mins along the beach past some amazing houses and hotels! We really enjoyed this walk. Banus is ok, expensive if you stick to the restaurants on the harbour but you get what you pay for. Would recommend Picasso’s for pizza and Smokehouse food and atmosphere. You can get a catamaran to Marbs every hour on the hour. It’s €7.50 one way per adult. We walked back, took about 2 hours but again lovely walk on the beach. Don’t take too much notice of the bad reviews. This is not an expensive hotel so you won’t get the pure luxury but it’s a really nice Spanish hotel. Yes it’s on a busy road but so are all the resorts along that road to Malaga airport.

    We were lucky to have a room by the far end of the Pool, some of the rooms face on to the Motorway which runs directly next to the front of the hotel. There was a permanent feint smell of sewage in our room, although it seemed to be a problem around the whole of Puerto Banus so maybe something was wrong with the drains. On the plus side the grounds are beautiful-the staff are great-the food is ok but not great-the rooms are kept very clean and are a good size. Unfortunately the list of cons is a lot larger than the list of pro’s. The hotel is next to a VERY busy motorway with traffic noise a constant, the rooms are in need of a makeover especially the bathrooms, with bits missing from the taps and doors that have been filled and painted without rubbing down the filler. There is a fridge in the room but signs everywhere saying no food or drink to be bought in from outside the hotel. The pool area is very busy and does not open until 10am and its very hard to get a sun-bed. The Drinks at the bar are expensive with a malibu and a vodka coming in at €15. The evening entertainment is woeful. You have to pay for wifi, whats that about in 2019. They also charge €12 a day to park your car and if you want to use a cabana by the pool its an eye watering €40 a day, thats right a day. I would rather they put the price to stay up as you feel that they are trying to get extra from you at every turn, we didnt see anybody use the Cabanas the week we were there, if they got rid of those and the pool bar(there is another bar 10yards from the pool area) it would free up a lot more space to put more sun beds that would get used. And one last thing, can a few more people mention the poor lonely turtle in the fish pond and they may put their hand in their pocket and buy him a friend.

    Room we had overlooked the pool just beside the bar area, it was quite spacious with tv, fridge and toiletries provided. Not the quietest of rooms but not a problem.balcony had lovely comfortable cushioned chairs which I loved in the evening sitting with a glass of wine. We arrived at 10.30 am and was told room would not be ready until 3pm so went out for lunch still with the clothes on I had left Manchester in, had to return and change in the toilets as it was quite hot. We stayed half board food was ok, not brilliant! There is a large supermarket a few minutes walk, to the left at the front of hotel. However there is a sign telling you not to bring any food or drink in to the hotel. About 5 minute walk to beach and about 20 to the town centre. We were out one night at 10pm trying to find a bottle of water be warned it was virtually impossible ended up getting from a bar for €3.50. Found a couple of the older men on reception quite rude on a couple of occasions but the rest of the staff were great. All in all not bad for the price you pay and probably would stay again.
    Nice - but definite room for improvement!

    Our set up was two couples, ages 30-38, half board (breakfast) Negative points: - Air Con is extremely poor in rooms, an overhead fan does not do much either, did not feel AC however luckily it wasn’t super hot and rooms were cool enough when sleeping. Bearable but I was surprised at the outdated AC system - Drinks are expensive at the pool (€3.50 for 1 soft drink) - Pool restaurant shuts at 4pm which I did not like and many people still requesting food as sun goes down closer to 9pm - Pool bar serving FROZEN cheap pizza and saying “homemade” which was awful and charging a hefty €11+, pretty shocking to do this to customers and especially when no other option after 4pm (see above comment) - Reception were friendly however lack of organisation, on check out had to wait behind about 20 people who were CHECKING IN EARLY by about 3 hours, there should be some prioritisation - Not as close to beach as I would like (10 minutes walk which is not bad but not “beach side” - Pool luxury “beds” charged out at €40 PER DAY, big rip off, in my experience usually these can be used if you spend a certain amount at the pool bar throughout the day - Wi fi not included and price for it is a lot Positive points: - Grounds are pretty and well kept - Breakfast spread was very good, quality is not the best but great selection, we made rolls to take away for lunch as well - I found staff actually quite helpful and nice (a lot of other comments seem to say otherwise but our experience was good) - Pool area is nice - Towels can be used with deposit put down (make sure to keep your receipt) - Balcony was nice, ours was large with nice Spanish wicker chairs (not sure all rooms have this) good if you enjoy your balcony whilst away Overall I enjoyed the stay and would perhaps return, however I’d probably be more interested in trying another hotel to compare
