I had a wonderful weekend at this elegant art-deco hotel. It is in a prime location, only a five minute walk from the cathedral and a short stroll to the Turia gardens. The bedroom was smart and spotless, with a comfortable bed and a throwback feel which makes a change from often sterile establishments. Awful - no city views - avoid

Absolutely awful.
Paid extra for a city view room. There is no view. It means you paid extra to face an ugly street with constant noise.
On the subject of noise - there is no isolation between rooms. You can hear every movement in the rooms around you.
The rooms themselves are heavily dated. The bed awful, hard and cheap.
This might have been a 4 star hotel at some point but is now only a three star hotel if at ...

Some reviews criticise the hotel as noisy with small rooms. There are plenty of international hotels in Valencia but this is an atmospheric hotel located in the heart of the city and steeped in history. You can fall out of bed into a café or bar and nearby is the amazing Jardin del Turia, take your running shoes. The rooms are smallish but clean and very comfortable.

Clean and comfortable room with decent bed linen and towels. Service friendly.
There is insufficient sound proofing from the bedroom window to the street level, but thankfully, the street noise quietened down at a reasonable time....
