Best time to go to Bijela

Short winters and long, dry summers are the order of the day in Montenegro. The weather is at its best from May to September, when you’re looking at temperatures around – and above – 25°C. Swimming conditions are spot on during these months, too – the water temperature is somewhere between a toasty 25°C and 28°C.

Passports and Visas

British citizens don’t need a visa to enter Montenegro but must have a valid passport. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/montenegro/entry-requirements.

Don't forget to arrange your travel money and insurance before you go.

Health and safety

You should take out comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover you while you’re away. For the latest health and safety information, visit www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/montenegro/health
