I visited this hotel back in April 2017 with husband and 8 yr old. First impressions of hotel were good, pleasant reception area and spacious room. The food was poor quality and consistently cold. Lunch time was a trek across a bridge which was not worth doing when you eventually arrived. The alternative was to use the poolside bar for the same old chicken nugget type food. The drinks were cheap alcohol, which was unregulated resulting in some guest being in drunken states by lunchtime. Children were unsupervised due to parents being unfit through alcohol. On one occasion I had to advise another persons child regarding his conduct and language due to his own mother socialising in a nearby resort offsite. I was later threatened by this parent who virtually stalked me. Management were made aware but did nothing other than "make a note of her room number" fortunately were were due to return home the following day. I enjoy alcohol and having fun but this was a drink fest for British people that could not conduct themselves in an acceptable manner. This is far from my ideal holiday. Never returning. More
Brilliant for families with small children
I felt I needed to write on here as had read so many bad comments before we left and was very worried. I didn't need to worry. We had a fantastic time. This is the perfect place for small children. The rooms are clean and spacious, the pools are great and everyone was helpful and kind. The only thing to expect is a queue for food but this happens with all-inclusive accommodation everywhere. We will definitely returnMore
Good Time - Hard Work Though
On arrival at the hotel the initial thought was it was HUGE After checking in we made our way to the room – Paid for a sea view and pool view. We got to see the sea JUST and no pool as we were situated directly above the late night bar in the corner of the hotel where the buildings meet (room 024) We had requested a low room due to having young children with us but again we wanted to actually see the pool and more than a slither of sea! The food was good initially but after a few days it seemed repetitive. Breakfast in the main hall Dinner – Either snack bar or trek over to the water park for the main dinner menu Tea – Main Hall or restaurants on you x2 visits per week allowance, the Italian is smart! The pool was really good in the main hotel, deep enough for the kids to swim but also stand up around the edges but don’t be fooled by all the brochure pictures of fancy elephants and pirate boat as these are located over the road in the water park which is open to the public plus the water is freezing (and it’s a trek over the road). You can use all the facilities in their drinks etc but the rubber rings for the one slide are chargeable with a deposit also required. Moving on to chargeable thinks on the all inclusive site we have:- Trampoline = £4 euros for 5 minutes Little Fair Cars = 2.5 Euros for a couple of minutes Ice Creams on show = Various Prices Daft Gimmick Stalls = Horrendous Prices Slush Bottles = 3 euros each although free refills Prize Bingo – 12 euros! Yes 12 euros a go! Big prizes but big prices – x that by your night’s stay!!! Arcade = 1 euro every machine. When we lost money (regular occurrence) in the machines the attendant suddenly he speke no onglaze! Add all the above up and you will need a fair bit of money to keep the kids from moaning Golf is free but every time we went to get them from reception there was arrivals or people checking out as the hotel is that busy! QUE Breakfast = Que up Dinner = Que Up Bar Especially = QUUUUUUUEEEE for 15 deep then you can only get 4 drinks Entertainment Is quality, this is the reason that we returned to a Holiday Village. The above is fact as we have just returned – Would we go back to this hotel? No but we will try another HVMore
It's a hotel for kids all over ..lots of different pools in different areas ..the beach club is across the road to access it you need to go over a spiral bridge which can be tiring in the heat with little ones especially if you forgotten something in the room !!!! The rooms are big with small kitchen too but not very clean There is no free water in the room which is bad for all inclusive No room service No laundry service only washing machines to be used by guests No iron when asked there was one iron in laundry room and there were queens for that one iron Food not nice ..scrambled eggs made from the powder stuff..buffet was nearly same each day Alcohol drinks part of all inclusive were weak Overall enjoyed the time with children and two grandchildren but will not go back More
Loved the water park!
We stayed here during the half term May 2017. The hotel complex itself is huge! i recommend for first time visitors, you as the first choice reps for a map. I found the map very helpful. When checking in, there seemed to be a lack of help/guidance from the reception staff and first choice reps. I had to ask about the meals at the restaurants etc. I had emailed Thomson/first choice to ask for rooms together as we were being separated as a family. Again they FAILED to do as requested and had separated us up. I complained but as usual this fell on deaf ears, Anyway, back to the hotel, Rooms were clean and tidy. Some need of repair in certain areas, our shower door handle was hanging off, mould on the tiles near the sink, shower was filthy upon check in (like a mop bucket had been emptied in it?) The sofa bed is not a double pull out sofa bed, like i thought, it was the sofa itself as one single bed and a pull out single bed as another. We didn't have any water in our fridge but this was bought to us the following day. The hotel in general was clean, the hotel pool was a nice temperature, however it was packed when we were there so we opted everyday to go the beach club (water park). Food: Food is ok, there isn't anything wrong with the food and our family was happy with it. There was always something to eat, sometimes it could get a bit samey but you could always find something to eat. It was cold on a couple of occasions but this was more from having to queue to get the food!! Our meal in the Italian restaurant was nice. Our meal in the American was also nice, my steak was very tough and fatty, but the rest was good. Entertainment: the reps did try with the entertainment and there was obviously a lot of time and money out into it. They knew all the dance routines inside out. However, i am slightly disappointed that there wasn't more of a "free" disco available for the kids. My girls love to dance but aren't quite old enough to follow the dance routines. I wasn't the only parent to feel like this, whilst queuing for the jumping thing, parents behind me were complaining too. The reps also did the same thing every day and it got very very repetitive, they maybe need to try something different every other day to shake it up. Water Park: The water park was brilliant, wasn't too busy, lots of loungers available. Water was nice temperature (pirate pool was always a bit nippy). We spent most of our time in the infant area and the main big pool. There is only 1-2 Slides available for the rings, so this is a waste of time to rent. I loved the Jacuzzi sun loungers! The one day there was glass found in the infant pool, glass was also all over the floor. It took the lifeguards/management an hour to shut the pool and sort it out. This was not quick enough, i also had to direct the cleaner to the glass that was found on the floor. This didn't ruin our holiday, but is definitely something that needs to have a process put in place. I am disappointed though, as it was my daughter 3rd birthday whilst we were out there. I asked reception if it was possible to have a little cake made, they wanted to charge me 28 euros?? On our previous holidays we have always had them for free (from Avenda Suits, Salou), also no one at all made a fuss of my daughter, no one said happy birthday, no one sang happy birthday to her. I had to stick a candle in her ice cream! She had a big badge on a wand that said it was her birthday, but nothing from anyone. However the women next to us also had a birthday got happy birthday sang to her and a bottle of wine?? Not good! I would return here as it was a lovely holiday which my 3 kids (6,5,3) thoroughly enjoyed. I would however want to try one of the other holiday villages available to see what they are like. Overall we were very happy with our holiday.More
