You’re within walking distance of Faliraki’s town centre and beach here – and back at base you’ve got a full-blown waterpark and a massive pool.
It’s no surprise this place has bagged a TripAdvisor certificate of excellence – not only has it got its own waterpark, but there’s also a huge pool, 2 restaurants, and a jam-packed entertainment line-up.
When it comes to location, the Sun Palace is on to a winner. Faliraki’s sandy beach is only 10 minutes’ stroll away, and it’s the same to the town’s bars and restaurants.

Just so you know, the slides here come with restrictions to look out for, and children need to be accompanied by an adult.

Great Water Park....other aspects not so great
The positives first - this isn't so much a hotel with a water park as a water park with rooms. The water park is excellent and, as it is only open to hotel residents, no queues and friendly staff. Food served all day is basic but ticks the boxes. My 3 boys (13, 11 and 9) loved the waterpark and spent the first few days up and down the slides. The novelty of course wore off. Food - very disappointing for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bland, basic fayre. Some of the cold meats, cheeses and (particularly) salads were tired and looked as thought they may have been out for a few days. Not a great choice. Even the theme nights (Greek, Chinese and Mexican) were pretty uninspiring. You get a voucher for one night at the second, better, restaurant and this was excellent. Why not extend this to the main restaurant? This was our second First Choice All-Inclusive and compared very poorly with Altantica Porto Bello Beach in Kos. Staff - The hotels own reception staff provided a fairly competent service but no real friendliness or enthusiasm from them. The bar staff were much better and always smiled. Room - pretty decent - we upgraded to the room with a separate partition with a double bed and another single. No issues. Overall - as stated, compared poorly with previous trips to the Greek islands. Mainly down to food and staffing.More
7th Time at this fantastic, entertaining, family hotel
This hotel is amazing, its our 7th time going in a row and it only gets better, the recent upgrade is superb and the food is really nice also, wasn't disappointed. the family room we always have is massive, the place couldn't be cleaner and the staff are really friendly and helpful, they're on hand 24\7. The barmen andreas, nicos and dimitris are very accommodating and always smiling when your at the bar, makes you feel happy. the entertainment is the best ever, Aurel, Lamarr and the squad make this holiday what it is.. They have a full list of daily games and activities to suit all ages, and if and when you take part your made to feel part of the group, they are so funny. the night show they do is also fantastic, they really are superstars. i can't praise and thank them enough for making our family holiday real special each time we come back, so if your thinking on visiting this hotel make sure you take part in the games, its a great laugh. also a shout out to nicos and kostas in the restaurant who are very friendly. cant wait til next year.More
Please go here!!!
I have just returned from a 2 week holiday to sun palace with my partner and my 4 year old daughter. Check in was very swift even with a coach load arriving at the same time - as we arrived late they sent us straight to the snack bar so we could get some food which was nice. Our room was in the main building and it was very modern little bit small but your hardly in there. Limited plug sockets on the room. It was a little nosey in the night but that was just due to parents not looking after there children properly. Maid service - was very poor this was not due to the ladies I think they just had too much to do for the man power they had - our room never got cleaned on Wednesday and Saturdays which are the main change over days. Food - I despise any complaining about repetitive food whilst on an all inclusive holiday it's what happens all over the world if you don't like it don't go all inclusive. I found he restaurant very clean and the waiters very helpful the food was good always something there to have. Always a snack bar open. Animation - my daughter who is 4 went to the kids club every morning and afternoon she absolutely loved it - massive thanks to Paige and Carla who work extremely hard with the kids in the day time and in he evening with the mini disco. I'm not one to take part in the adult activities but did become very friendly with Lemar and his team - they are a credit to the hotel and are just as good as any Thompson entertainment probably better. They do a very good job and they do deserve a lot of credit. The evening entertainment has a good variety - some nights we didn't hang around we went for a walk down the strip and into the square which is 15 mins walking distance a nice walk and a break from the hotel. All in all it was a perfect holiday and I will definitely be going back - been the best holiday we've had in a long time More
Room for improvement...
Just come back from the Sun Palace, having spent 2 weeks there with my wife and 12 year old son. Overall, we had an enjoyable fortnight, but this was mainly due the wonderful people we met, rather than what the Hotel offered. I don't know if we've spoiled ourselves with the quality of Hotels we've stayed in over the past few years, but unfortunately, this was nothing more than an average Hotel. Don't get me wrong, there were some good qualities, such as the Water Park for the kids, the cleanliness was good, the location was ideal and the staff were, in general, very friendly, BUT, the Hotel just doesn't have the "Wow" factor that we expected, considering how much we paid (maybe we were mugged off by Thomsons) Although food is readily available throughout most of the day, the quality of it leaves a lot to be desired, although on a handful of times, some of the choices for your evening meal were ok. There were ample drinks dispensers for the kids, but the quality of the spirits available was terribly poor, and the cocktails left a lot to be desired! Some nights you were queuing up for 5-10 minutes for a drink, as there were only 2 lads serving (who really did their best) Couple of things I would recommend immediately, is that when they have guests arriving late at night after a long days travel, they could maybe put a couple of bottles of courtesy water in to their room fridges for them. No bottled water was freely available in the Hotel, unless you wanted to pay for it in the shop within the Hotel grounds! The access road from the main section of the Hotel over to the Water Park section is an absolute disgrace (Uneven tarred and concrete ramp with a manhole cover), as I saw many elderly people and families with buggies struggle to get up it! As I already stated, this is nothing more than an average Hotel, and if that's what floats your boat, then it's perfect, but if you're looking for something with that little bit something extra, then I'm afraid this is NOT the place!More
Excellent value for money and a high standard 3 star hotel
I returned from her 2 weeks ago and I have to say I was nervous...i spent 2 years saving for this and really wanted me and the kids to enjoy. I went by myself with my 12 and 16 year olds.....the hotel did not disappoint it was very clean and modern. We checked in very late at night and the staff were great they had us sorted in no time and off to our room. ROOMS We where in room 112 which is right by the pool...perfect location for us as we could pop back and forth with very little effort. The room was spacious with a big single bed and then 2 single beds pushed together to make a large double....perfect for us. the claener came in everyday and cleaned and changed to towels.....excellent service. POOLS The pool is lovely never over crowded and always loungers and umbrellas available, again it was all very clean and staff where always cleaning up. ENTERTAINMENT. The entertainment team where great anyone taking kids between 5 and 10 will not see their kids the entire holiday....but not just the little kids the teenagers and grown ups always had things to do...water polo, aqua aerobics, volley ball and much more. The evening entertainment is your usual cheesy things but the entertainment staff are so energetic and funny it was really enjoyable. FOOD Well I am gluten free so was prepared to live on salad and chicken for a week but on the fisrt morning i asked the restaurant manager about GF options and he was fantastic....i could pre order GF pizza any time of the day, the day we booked in to the Al a Carte restaurant he had already spoken to them about my requirements and made sure they had plenty of choice for me. Every morning he would greet me with my own plate of GF bread and always check that I had plenty to eat every meal time. The food was great loads of fresh salads, fruit and meat for the healthy eaters and loads of other dishes for those who like to indulge on holidays. My kids loved the snack bars and variety of things on offer so no complaints from any of us. WATER PARK The water park is excellent plenty of slides and space for all ages, we really enjoyed spending time here the floor was boiling tho so keep your flip flops on. Again not crowded and plenty of sunbeds to relax on in between the slides. The lazy river is great too not many rings but people were leaving their inflatables there when they were leaving the resort so always something to float around on. BEACH The beach is great lovely soft sand which is again boiling so flip flops required!!! the sea stays shallow for ages so its really safe for kids to play...water is crystal clear too. We did paddle boarding and parasailing with Peter's water sports.......what a lovely guy very sweet and did me an excellent price on both. I would 100% recommend going to him if you want to do water sports. TRIPS We booked with Sofia over the road from the hotel...she is lovely and so helpful. We did the jeep safari Michele was our driver...brilliant day and such a good way to see the island, OMG the beaches you go to are stunning.....better than any i have ever been too. We also did the glass bottom boat trip which was lovely and Anthony bay is beautiful amazing change to snorkel and see some stunning fish. We ventured to Rhodes town on the local bus...very easy to catch them back and forth....it is beautiful there we went late afternoon-evening as it was far too hot to walk around in the day. ROUND UP Great hotel perfect for families , helpful staff, energetic entertainment team Water park great, food lovely and beach stunning all in all lovely holiday for the money.More
