You’re within walking distance of Faliraki’s town centre and beach here – and back at base you’ve got a full-blown waterpark and a massive pool.
It’s no surprise this place has bagged a TripAdvisor certificate of excellence – not only has it got its own waterpark, but there’s also a huge pool, 2 restaurants, and a jam-packed entertainment line-up.
When it comes to location, the Sun Palace is on to a winner. Faliraki’s sandy beach is only 10 minutes’ stroll away, and it’s the same to the town’s bars and restaurants.

Well what can I say, an absolutely fantastic holiday. I made the mistake of reading some reviews on this hotel just before we left, and was a little worried, but I had nothing to fear. From booking in at 3.20am, the gentlemen on reception were cheerful and friendly. With regard to some people saying their passports were taken and put into a safe, this doesn't have to happen, you can wait at the desk for them to be checked and handed back, took less than 5 mins for them to hand back over. Our family room was lovely, very clean too. The only reservation on this room was that it had a connecting door to the room next door. This wasn't an issue for us at first, but the last 2 nights of our stay, we had to listen to very loud, very inconsiderate, noisy Irish ladies!!!!!! this was because the only division between us was a door, even the light from their room came through the bottom. Being that these are 'family' rooms, I do feel it's not appropriate to use for 'the noisier guests'. If we had not been close to the end of our stay, we would have asked to move rooms, or have them moved, and with the staff there being so wonderful, I'm sure they would have happily accommodated. €25 for hire of safe, we feel is rather pricey !!! The whole complex is fantastic, don't be put of by some of the negative comments. The best thing was not having to get up at stupid aclock in the morning for a sun bed. The earliest we saw beds being reserved was 7am, but if you turned up at the pool at 9am, you would easily find a bed. Pools are lovey and kept very clean. The animation team are fantastic, hilarious and very friendly. Soft drinks, including tea and coffee, larger, wine and amazing cocktails are on tap all day/night, alcohol stops at 11pm. Nothing tasted watered down or cheap, and the tea and coffee was a good quality. Staff in the restaurant was very pleasant, and the restaurant manager was an awesome chap, very very friendly. Tables were cleared promptly and there was never a wait for somewhere to sit, plenty of tables to sit, even if it's busy. Food was very tasty, plenty of choice, my feeblest of moans on this subject though are, sometimes some items weren't very warm, and the ice cream on occasions had a grainy texture, but 8/10 times it's fine. Plenty of selection, the Greek night selection was the best night for us 😍. The water park was faultless. Staff friendly, park very clean and tidy, and a great selection of rides. The food here is fab too. No problem getting sun beds here either, plenty of them, there was never a day we didn't see empty beds. What was useful, is they supply towels for you. You will definitely have a great time here. 10 minute walk to a gorgeous beach, but protect your feet, every day we went, it got so hot, the sand was like hot lava to walk on, not that this is anything to complain about lol. Don't listen to the negative reviews, this complex is fantastic. One thing we did notice a lot, is the amount of returning guests from previous years, and the staff even remember their names. Well that says it all for us.... we shall be one of those returning families, a perfect holiday. Thank you to all the staff that made our holiday so memorable, and for the hard work they put in. See you again soon 😍😊😍😊More
Me and my sister both in our 40s stayed here for a week. we arrived just after midnight check in pretty fast. Our room was in the main building balcony over looking stage and pool with a slight sea view. Hotel very clean every day we saw cleaners day and night. POOL. a good size sometimes very full it was really cold on entry and could do with more steps or a walk in version to make it easier to get in and out. FOOD not bad something for most breakfast and evening meal could do with being a bit warmer at times. chinese night was our favourite and was the only themed night we could recognise. ENTERTAINMENT very hard working well Lamar x Angel x Paige was the other 2 girls seemed as though they were just on there hols, evening entertainment needed to start a little earlier most people were just sat bored untill 10pm and the moods entertainment was ok to see. Maybe start it at 8/9 kids club then 9./9.30 bingo then 9.30/11 adult entertainment even if some nights encorparated a 30 min disco /music. STAFF all very friendly especially Andreas and the young smiling guy in the day. DRINKS nice shandy and cocktails were the best oh and hot choc use 1 hot choc +1milk yum. BEDS could do with mattress toppers and clips to fasten the single beds together if needed.LOCATION could be better a few more open shops and bars on walk to falaraki took approx 20 mins SALLYS SUPERMARKET right turn out of car park across rd walk about 2mins very knolegable and a lovely lady and cheap . Also George's bar a bit further up the rd on same side as hotel very nice guy been there 30 +years good drinks and cheap music day and night. Overall a good holiday had by us both thankyou. More

It's My Party & I cried!
So on first view mediocre family hotel, the rooms did the job-be aware of the ants & mosquitos, the self service drinks were ok. The resort entertainment samey which if you like routine is ok and the entertainment team do try very hard. The all inclusive bar is water downed spirits which probably works for all day drinkers but for anyone with a palate not so much. The food is diabolical, I've never seen so much reheated food that has been sat in the air, under heat and unprotected from flies-no surprise that we had 3 days sickness and had to eat away from the complex for the remaining duration. Lastly don't leave your valuables don't trust the safe, a £500 necklace goes missing the day before my birthday and I get accused of being a silly tourist who has lost her beloved necklace and nothing further has been done. The lovely booking agent troubled themselves to offer a letter of insurance so at my expense I could claim the difference. For a £3500 holiday this was appalling, unenjoyable, ruined my birthday and quite frankly should have Thomas Cooked it. Balaclava's should be incorporated in to first choice uniforms it seems apt!!More

Hotel is average at best
I had high hopes for this holiday... always book with TUI and first choice. First impression are good when you pull in ... having a long trip to the hotel and you get there at 11.20 because you was a hour delayed because of tui... which is fine ... but when you are hungry and ask for a snack before bed, as most hotels I have been in have them ready for you for late arrivals ... to be told sorry it's shut and have to wait for break fast which I thought was pretty bad. Moving on to food in the hotel the food isn't nothing to write home about... the selection is very poor and if you like your desert ... unlucky that's all I can say.. other food is average the selection is pretty poor on every night and pretty much the same sort of things ... don't get me wrong the food is edible and some bits taste really nice nice but don't expect to be blown away. The swimming pools are very small and we didn't go during the busy season! It was hard getting a decent part of the pool to have to yourself, this is with there being a splash park on site! (More about this later) The children's "park" is shocking I really mean shocking ... it consists of a basic climbing frame and a little tiles style plastic domestic frame which looks like it has been there for years and is coming apart.... this really isn't save. The reps ... you can't even find them! They tell you at the start of your holiday they will be in their area but I have hardly seen them... also don't book excursion with them ... they promised you car rental for €49 but when you go and book they tell you there is none left at this price and mainly at weekends ... but they have a car for 24 hours but it will cost you €90 plus you have to put £300 on your credit card for insurance ... went across the road where excursions are half the price and got a car rental for 2 days with no excess on insurance for €72 euros and got a bigger car! The staff ... some are really nice the waiters there are a couple that are friendly and work really hard but most are so rude! They kind of force you out the way with their trollies and don't say excuse me or please or thanks ... and just don't even look at you half the time ... worst service I have had at an all inclusive. The entertainment team .. most are good and funny and really friendly... the 2 guys are entertaining and funny as hell, the DJ is incredible entertainer with many talents .. the woman it's a different story the tallest one is incredible with kids and got my little boy hooked on mini disco and got him involved and she is naturally good with kids... the other 2 .. well they are more interested in the guys and being looked at, they seriously look like they just come out of a brothel... look good though but not what I go to a holiday resort for. Water park ... well this is the best thing about it, so much to do and it's fun and not busy funny enough ... and the lazy river is so relaxing and good fun! Also if you like your food this is the place to go... the pizza is good and all the food is nice tbh .. if you don't want to go to the water park at least get your lunch here ... I think this is lowest I have ever rated a hotel on trip advisor but this is not a good place to go More
The few positives are that the hotel is clean and the majority of staff are friendly. The entertainment staff put in the effort and that shows. Close and easy accessible to old town (£2.40 each way on bus) The food standard is very poor. Cold food and combinations that don't work. Breakfast is the same everyday, no actual fruit juice other than grapefruit. There's a lot of meat for lunch and dinner though the cuts of meat are poor and fatty. Themed nights are poor and done to a very low standard. On a positive note the snack bar at the waterpark seems to be kept to a higher standard. Staff do keep the place to a high standard, cleaning tables up swiftly. My highlight of the hotel is barstaff, they don't have a lot to work with but are very friendly and talkative. The bars need proper juice rather than syrup drinks and the staff could be given proper cocktail training/ equipment. Rooms are clean though sound is a very big issue. When complaining about sound I was given an excuse saying that the building is made to be earthquake resistant and has thin walls. (never had an issue in other hotels) we could even hear next door snore.... More
