Simply gets better !
We stayed in an upgraded apartment for 2 weeks in July . We had enjoyed it last year so much that we rebooked , although it was £800 dearer than last year for the same room . This could be to flight costs or exchange rate , so I'm not implying that the hotel bumped up the cost as we booked it through Thompson. Anyway once again the room was clean , staff excellent, very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Dana and her entertainment colleagues, they kept myself and my family amused during our holiday with their , non pushy , very welcoming and amusing style of persuading guest to try different games . I noticed they have added extra entertainment through the day from last year so this must be complimented. The wifi also has improved as we could get it at parts of the poolside this year . I found the food excellent, although a couple of other guests I spoke to found it repetitive, but depends on what you like . I can't comment on the evening shows as we never made it to them . Personally I and my family had a great time here and love it's location, we would have no hesitation on returning. As we have been here 2 years in a row we probably try another country next year but would certainly look to return at some point in the future. Thanks again to all the excellent staff in every department as without your hard work ,our whole experience wouldn't have been as enjoyable. More
Excellent hotel. Very clean and helpful staff
Arrived here on the 1/8/17 got upgraded to a golf view room as we asked for a quiet location excellent room great view plenty of room but balcony quite small, we have since now upgraded to what they call a suite which the room is very similar in size and the balcony is very large plenty of space and direct sun, the food is very good and staff are very helpful unlike some of the hotels I be stayed in here drink package on the all- inclusive is local spirits that to me are very poor I prefer branded spirits . The only let down for me is the pool area which is in the middle of the hotel one pool either side and a kids pool a bar/ snack bar in the middle this means you are quite limited for sun beds unless you are up very early the pool attendants do what they can to free up beds by limiting how long a bed can be reserved with towels but this is not pursued enough could possibly look at re positioning they way the sun beds are and remove some of the plant pots to make use of this space for more beds.More

A rare find!
We stayed in July/August 2017. Arrived late from a flight and check in was quick and easy. We were offered a free room upgrade so changed rooms for the second night and this was a lovely experience. The original room was great but it was nice to have the extra space on the terrace. I would recommend that if, like us, you enjoy quiet evenings playing cards. The room was well equipped and kept clean by the amazing housekeeping team. The pools are great-there are the normal sunbed issues but the staff try to resolve this quickly. Bar staff are amazing and so friendly. However, the main attraction is the food. I am coeliac so cannot have gluten. Everything was labbeled so I knew exactly what I could and could not have plus the staff were clued up on cross contamination. I would recommend anyone with dietary issues to try this hotel and I hope that other hotels learn from the fantastic service of the Marylanza! I cannot thank the staff enough for their help in making our holiday awesome. More
Excellent Hotel, Lovely Holiday, Everything you would expect from an all-inclusive
My wife and I stayed here 31/07 - 06/08 and really enjoyed every minute. We were also with friends who have children aged 7 and 11 who enjoyed it too. On arrival we were greeted with a smile by the Reception staff and this set the standard for the whole holiday. All the staff were excellent and seemed to enjoy their jobs - a particular mention to Antonio, who worked in the bars and restaurant, who worked really hard while being very entertaining and a skilled barman. His carajillo was excellent! The rooms are cleaned daily unless you ask otherwise and the pool area/bars/restaurant are very tidy. A safe is available for hire at 18 Euro per week which is the going rate so not overpriced. The rooms are actually apartments and are very spacious. Decent sized bedroom with adequate wardrobe space. The bathroom is fine and the kitchenette/living area is very big - not that we spent any time in there as we were out in the sun! The pool area is well set out, three pools with a nice snack bar in the middle. I liked, as others have said, that the sunloungers could not be reserved early in the morning and staff removed any towels that were put there. The complex is rather enclosed however and would benefit form some grounds to walk around in, I'm not sure if they have the space though. The food in the main restaurant was of very good quality, some of the best I have had at an European all-inclusive. Plenty of choice and the hot food was always hot as it was constantly being refreshed. There really was something for everyone so no-one could possibly go hungry. My only query is why no ice? As the wine goes warm quickly maybe a bucket of ice next to the dispense? The food at the pool snack bar was good as well, decent burgers and hotdogs but also salads and rolls, fruit etc. Plenty of drinks available at the pool bar as well, beer, wine, spirits and cocktails and plenty of softs. The drinks at the Reception bar are generally of a higher standard and it was a pleasure to end most evenings in a lovely area to enjoy a nightcap. There are many cocktails to choose from (all slushy based) but overall on the menu I counted approximately 40 different cocktails, spirits and liqueurs included in the all-inclusive. Very good. As previously mentioned the coffee was excellent particularly the carajillo when made by Antonio. The wifi is a bit intermittent but fine overall, to be honest if you are that bothered about it you should probably ask yourself why you are on holiday - there is plenty of other things to entertain the kids so the internet isn't important. The Animation team were around most of the day with activities and then a mini disco at night before the main entertainment which was of a usual standard for this type of establishment. Overall this is a lovely place to stay for an enjoyable holiday.More
First Family Holiday
This was our very first holiday abroad with our children aged 11 and 8. So high expectations! First impression of hotel was good, lovely open air conditioned lobby area. We arrived at around 9pm..so quick check in (drinks brought to us, although offer of something alcohol would have been appreciated!) But we did managed to get to room (E107 which backed onto golf course and was very quiet) and go to the restaurant for dinner. Room was double with single pull out beds in living area. Fully functioning kitchen area...and fridge/freezer. One bottle of water in fridge, but I refilled this over hols. Room very clean, bit tatty here and there with peeling bathroom door, probably exacerbated by fan not working hence lots of steam. We didn't complain though as preferred not having a fan noise as tended to leave bathroom light on over night for children. One plus...room very dark and great air con, that and fact room was quiet (think we had one family with small children next to us...not sure about other side as wall too high) helped with sleep. Three pools as already said. Loungers generally all taken by 10am! We went to breakfast early one day as off on an excursion and saw people "camping" out for the day from 7:15....Fine if you want to spend all day there...but we generally wanted a few hours in the morning or afternoon and rarely found 4 beds together. There were a lot of towels on beds...not sure lifeguards (which I didn't notice a high presence of around any pools) were removing them? Kids loved pools. Inflatable thing came one day which was a bit of fun. Restaurant was ok. As our first experience of all inclusive...it was easy to please our children...but as adults 1. We couldn't even get a booking to the themed restaurants so can't comment. Funny things about the Tagora...Breakfasts were very good. All you would expect plus cava and salmon. However, found it odd that cava not available at dinner (be nice to have with starter) but freely available in Berlingo...or coffee? We wondered if this was to get people moving after dinner? But I like coffee and dessert together and couldn't have this in one place? Food wise...we tended towards pool bar for lunch (if hungry after breakfast) and dinner at restaurant. We enjoyed what we had, but would really have liked more variety on the themed nights...Chinese was ok, sushi tasty but no noodles. I'd have really liked to have seen a Spanish night...tapas and sangria? Unless this was Thursday , as spent evening at beach. However, a good range, and easy if eating with children. Room was cleaned every day, beds made and sheets had been changed. Generally all clean and tidy. However, towards the end of our stay there was a lot of mess left around but noticed lots of guests just leaving cups and rubbish around. The recycling bins seemed to confuse many people too! Organic bin filled with general waste everytime I went to put rubbish away! Games room needs a bit of tlc...pool tables missing balls, air hockey not working all week....but again, partly not treated well by some guests. Agree with comments about drinks, cocktails refreshing but not very strong so perfect in the day..but anything else available on request. Didn't feel bar staff were overly friendly, but we are generally reserved so maybe depends on how you interact with them? Can't comment too much on ents as didn't go to the Berlingo much...did see the Loro show...oh, they take a family picture at the start for 10 euros. Show was good. My son loved the San Francisco alcohol free cocktail! More
