Lovely hotel and very helpful staff

This is a lovely hotel, kept very clean and set out very well. It is in a great location opposite supermarket and a few other shops or a short 20 min walk to oasis an safari shopping centres. We had a very enjoyable first 4 days until unfortunately my son was referred to hospital. The rep Natalie was extremely helpful and did everything in her power to help us. I also left my phone in a taxi whilst travelling to the hospital from the hotel and Natalie took the time out of her day to track it down and bought it to the hospital for me. Overall this is a very nice hotel and I highly recommend for anyone staying in Tenerife.More

Meganahc,

just returned (sadly) ... wish we were still there!

I have traveled, all inclusive, too a few (5) countries - this was quite easily the best so far and i wouldn't hesitate to return ... in fact we hope too The rooms very good; the food superb (don't listen too the negatives) my only grumble would be the cocktails! The spa well worth the money as was the massage! The taster restaurant (one FOC visit) was very very good The staff friendly and very attentive Client mix ... guess 60% UK 30% Spanish and the other 10% from everywhere - everyone had a great time without being a nuisance I could go on but sadly back at work .. looking forward to returning asap and we willMore

Lovely hotel and super staff

The service at every level was excellent especially the dining room staff. The room was kept very clean and was acceptable but needed updating hence my 4 star rating. A bit mean on the soap and shampoo in the bathroom. The hotel was a little way away from the beach and shops but that is the way I like it. There was entertainment every night which was of a an OK standard. I liked the dining room and staff the most and the food was excellent too. I would recommend this hotel.More

Super hotel - ignore the bad reviews

We stayed here as a family with a three year old and four adults. The check in started a bit slow however another receptionist soon turned up so things speeded up a bit. We had a problem with an awful smell in the first room we were put in but when we complained we were promptly upgraded to a duplex apartment at the other side of the hotel which had a double balcony and a great view (our original rooms overlooked the main road in front of the hotel). Once the problem in the original room had been brought to the hotels attention they were brilliant at getting us re-roomed quickly with the minimum of fuss. The new room was an upgrade from our original two rooms but we were not charged any extra (which we would have refused to pay anyway!). There was a large lounge area and a bedroom & kitchenette on the ground floor with an extra bedroom and bathroom in the roof space (a sort of loft conversion). This was quite stylish with a large walk-in dressing/wardrobe area but would have benefited from some additional furniture (a sofa & dressing table would have been fine) and a full length mirror. The view from the velux windows in the roof overlooking the golf course and mountains in the distance was spectacular, especially in the mornings when the mountains are shrouded in mist. The main bedroom on the ground floor was a good size with plenty of storage space and patio doors onto the balcony. There was a safe in the wardrobe in this room which costs 18 Euros for the week. The only downfall with overlooking the golf course is the lawn mowers which start at about 6.30 in the morning and the noise of the golfers teeing off just underneath the room. Once we had got over the slightly traumatic arrival we explored the hotel which was lovely. There are three pools, one heated, and a nice pool bar area. There was plenty of sun beds available every time we wanted one and the hotel does remove towels left on sunbeds at the crack of dawn, one of the few hotels we have stayed in which enforces the 'no saving sunbeds' rule. Pool towels are available with a 5 Euro deposit and 1 Euro charge every time you swapped for a clean one. The pool bar also provides a late breakfast and snacks during the day. The food is very good quality and there is a chef there who will heat your (pre-cooked) burger or hot dog, onions etc. The area is kept clean and tidy with a number of recycling areas which reinforces the hotels green credentials. Drinks are very good for an AI hotel (except the cocktails which are dire!) and branded drinks can be obtained at a supplement. There is a self service station for soft drinks, beer, wine and slushies which is useful and keeps the queues at the bar down. The pool bar is open until eleven at night and has entertainment on most nights. One complaint we might have about the pool areas is that the cleanliness does leave a bit to be desired in places (we found a pile of fag ends under a sun bed which our grandson stood in) but the cleanliness is generally pretty good. There is another bar in reception which is quite spacious and a further one in the disco/show room. The opening times are varied but at least one is open all day with all three open for most of the evening and they all have self service facilities of varying size. We never had to queue for more than a few seconds at any bar and there are no silly restrictions on the number of drinks you can order (within reason) that we have come across at other AI hotels. All of the staff are extremely friendly and hard working. However, they always had time to speak to our three year old grandson and 'high five' him which he loved. The dining room staff even taught him the Spanish words for some of the food he was eating. The reception staff were great, very knowledgeable about the local area and beyond, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Once again they made a lot of our grandson and always asked him what he had been doing and if he enjoyed it. I should also mention the First Choice representative Natalie, who was also very helpful and knowledgeable. She was at the hotel a lot and we saw her speaking with guests well into the evening. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard and the sirloin steak at dinner was absolutely delicious. There was a good choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the only thing that let it down was the lack of variety of the sweets and puddings. The pastries and cakes were brilliant and well worth a try whether at Breakfast or Dinner. There were self service stations for hot drinks, fruit juices, water, soft drinks, beer and wine (depending on the time of day) and on most days Cava was served at Breakfast. The hotel location was fine for us being a 15 minute walk to Los Cristianos or Playa De Las Americas. One place to visit is the Hard Rock Café in Playa which is absolutely stunning. Our son and his fiancé went there for a meal and said it was great and not too expensive either. If you don't want to walk then a taxi costs less than 5 euros from most of the resort to the hotels (or vice versa). Two minutes walk from the hotel is a commercial centre with a supermarket, a good selection of clothes shops, a children's play area and a cracking bar called the Loft which has a lovely outdoor seating area and music on every night which is not too loud except later on a Saturday night when they have a laser show. Beer prices are surprisingly reasonable too (2.20 Euros for a large beer). My son and I had a few beers there on Fathers day and it was a thoroughly enjoyable night. If you want to walk a little further (about 5 minutes) there is a number of bars and restaurants (cross the road straight out of the hotel and through the park). Overall the hotel was very quiet and relaxing, spotlessly clean with the most fantastically friendly and cheerful staff. The free Wi-Fi was an added bonus though it did have a tendency to drop out in the room. If we go back to Tenerife for a family holiday it will certainly be high on our list of hotels to stay at.More

Ignore Bad reviews - BRILLIANT!!

First of all, I would like to say, please ignore all the bad reviews on this hotel. The hotel is superb. Upon arrival we were greeted with a drink and a quick check in process. The staff could not do enough for you. Hotel – The hotel itself is very nice, very clean, spacious and very well run. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. The rooms are very nice with a sofa, TV (English Channels), and a kitchen area with a fridge, kettle , cooking hob and microwave oven. Beds are nice and comfy and plenty of room. Air con in both bedroom and lounge area. Rooms cleaned and towels and bedding changed daily. IF you wanted a lie in, they would change the linen later in the day. The hotel has 2 pools and a child’s pool, all 3 very nice. A very nice looking spa also. Entertainment - was pretty good at night as well, we always enjoyed it. The team works hard in the day also for adults and kids. Always live music around the pool bar area at night. Location - Brilliant location, 10/15 minute walk from Los Cristinos or Playa de las Americas. Short bus journey from the amazing water park (Sian Park). Decent nightlife in Play de las Americas if you want it. Food and Drink – The food we found was superb. Breakfast, you had a choice of all sorts of cereal and pasties, ham and cheese etc. Fresh bread or the traditional fry up type of breakfast. Every type of egg you can imagine. If you miss breakfast, between 10-12 at the pool bar is a late breakfast buffet type of thing. Lunch – we mainly eat at the pool bar, a very nice lady called Paula is a brilliant chef. Everything is cooked fresh for you. The Pizzas are amazing. You can have so much from the pool bar including toasties, burgers, pizzas, hot dogs, salads, different cheese, salads, pasta, chips etc. You won’t go hungry. Something for everyone Dinner – always brilliant, lots to choose from, including calved lamb, pork etc. Always a choice of 4/5 meats plus fish. A lot of meat is cooked in front of you. Steak, chicken, pork chops, lamb chops etc. All of very good standard. Only small downside is the Wi-Fi – works fine in the hotel reception but doesn’t work very often around the pool or in the rooms. Sure this will be sorted in time. This hotel is highly recommended and would love to go back in the future.More
