just returned from a week at the marylanza hotel and it was lovely. the food was very good with a carvery every night and the breakfasts were superb with carva and caviar if you wanted it. the staff were all brilliant and so were the drinks. we stopped in a suite with a lovely view of the hills are little way out but a short walk brings you to a variety of bars and restaurants.More

Solo visit to Playa de las Americas

Good sized hotel with ample grounds and free wi- fi in reception area. Near a large supermarket but otherwise it a bit isolated.A good walk to the beach and Playa de las Americas.Hotel staff very helpful and food pretty good.If you go in winter you will need a sweater to go to breakfast as the restaurant is a separate building in the complex and mornings can be cold. Spa was good and worth a trip.Pool area was large but no separate quiet areas. All rooms have fridge and kettle. No problems with my visit but will stay nearer the beach area/town next winter as it has more atmosphere, particularly at night.More

Eileen D,

Lovely Hotel

We have just returned from a week at the Marylanza. Hotel was lovely, rooms large and very clean. It is a little bit away from the beach and main strip, however it is a nice 10-15 min walk. Little supermarket and lovely shopping centre close by. Food was lovely but can get a bit repetitive after a week. The weather was good, a little cloudy in the mornings, however heat up in the afternoons. We had wifi at the pool and also in the room, which is a bonus when you have a 12 year old! We would come back again, lovely hotel.More

Just returned Monday 6th April 2015. Cannot understand how this hotel is rated platinum 4 star. Stayed in a suite, mould around bathroom as well as large cracks in walls and ceilings, cochroaches in room on several days, door frames damp and coming off wall, plastic sheets covering mattresses. Stayed in room E110. Restaurant very busy had to queue on several occassions, food very repetitive.More

Quality hotel in peaceful location

We stayed for a week in March 2015. We chose this hotel based on the reviews we had seen and it lived up to expectations. We prefer hotels slightly away from main tourist spots so you can have peace and relaxation, but then walk to the main area for the nightlife and shopping. That is exactly what we got from this hotel. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel at ease - the reception staff were really friendly and informative. You are initially greeted by a large lobby containing a nice little bar area, but then you move into the main pool area which is a lovely oasis area of plants and lovely decorated buildings. Our room was huge and although our balcony faced outward, it was a little suntrap and really quiet. The food was nice, but it did get a little samey by the end of the week. But that wasn't an issue because we were able to break the week up a bit by dining out at some of the beachfront restaurants within walking distance. The Los Cristianos area and Vista beach was lovely to walk down during the day and in the evening. We felt really safe and there was no hassle from bar/ restaurant owners. We didn't go to the entertainment in the hotel because we didn't fancy it, but people we spoke to who had said it was great. The selection of the drinks on the all inclusive was fab too! All in all a great week away in Winter, at a really good price and short haul. Highly recommended.More
