Lovely relaxing place!
We visited Marylanza Suites and Spa for 7 nights in May 2016. Upon arrival we were greeted with a lovely fruit juice and it didn't take too long to check in. Our room was a suite with lounge area, kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom. It was very spacious and we had some regular visitors on our terrace in the form of two cute kittens! The location is just outside of the main area, we tried to walk but got a bit lost so we got taxis into the centre which were never more than â¬5, very easy to get a taxi. The pool area was lovely and clean plenty of beds. Only went in the pool once and it was too cold, would of been lovely if a bit warmer. The food was lovely lots of choice! The drinks weren't to my taste but saw plenty of others drinking them, my boyfriend liked the dorada beer. We saw a few shows whilst we were there and they were ok. We got engaged whilst here and the hotel were accommodating when my future mother in law paid for a bottle of bubbly to be sent to the room. We visited the spa twice for the hydrotherapy circuit which was amazing â¬15 each worth every cent! All in all a lovely holiday which we will both never forget! More
Good but average
Booked here Via Thomson's after the almost 5/5 rating on here and reading a few reviews which gave the impression of impressiveness. Now I can only surmise that most of the reviewers have only previously stopped in 3 star communist block type hotels as whilst the stay was overall ok it was far from top notch. Start with the good points: 1. Food in the restaurant (the one where you have to pre-book) was excellent including the service. 2. The room was really spacious (standard suite). And now the not so good: 1. No porter service, I know this is only a 4 star but I have stopped on many a 3 star and have had assistance in regards to showing me where my room was and help with luggage. Instead your given a map and off you go..if your a night time arrival it can be hard as there's no indication anywhere in regards to room numbers...and considering the good majority of the people staying are in their golden years it shouldn't be too much of an ask for a bit of help. 2. As a couple in a suite I expect a double bed not 2 singles pushed together...also if there's a do not disturb on the door I don't expect the maid to walk in regardless at 10am...a lesson she no doubt has probably learnt after being greeted with the sight of my very white dangly bits. 3. Despite the green pool being advertised as heated it's not..be warned...I doubt if my gentleman parts will drop back down in the next few months at least. 4. There was no water in the rooms, everywhere I've been supplies water in the fridge, here unless you drink from a water fountain outside its not free...even for all inclusive. 5. Booking a room check out extension is not easy...asked on the first day I arrived got the answer the night before departing....and charged over the odds! 6. It would be nice if I didn't have to share food from the snack bar with the sparrows...who sit on the food containers and simply help themselves, they didn't even have a wrist band on! 7. Entertainment is quite poor, apart from the 3 tenors night it was proper sub standard cabaret fare..also seating is crammed together...the room looks like an old 90's nightclub and please someone put rubber stops on the base of the seats...steel on tile is not good. I could go on but I won't, in summary I had a average/good stay but there's lots of little bits that if put right could really push this hotel into a true 4 star experience.More
Lovely relaxed hotel in great location
Lovely clean hotel, with a more relaxed atmosphere to some of the holiday villages we have stayed in. We travelled as a group of 6 aged between 34 & 61. Rooms are clean & more than well equipped. Food is good including good selection of pool snacks. Staff are great & you couldn't ask for more. Bit disappointed that you have to pay to use gym & spa facilities & pillows on beds quite uncomfortable, but that only thing we can find fault with. Las Americas centre is 10 min walk & los Cristianos is 10/15 min walk in opposite direction. Taxis are about 5e & are Cheever than using the land train. If you get chance go & see the MHT, the drag queen show it's great fun, but use excursion centre down road to book as it is cheaper than using your tour operator. Would definitely stay at marylanza again & again.More

nice quiet location
stayed here for 2 weeks in room 110 drago, lovely room overlooking golf course, room cleaned every day and towel change, great service from staff, breakfast, lunch, dinner great variety of food no complaints also staff excellent in bars, dining and reception soft drinks and alcohol on tap, all areas kept very clean, two good pools stayed in a few nights, entertainment on these occasions was ok,10 mins. walk down to main area . around pool area at certain times noise coming from wellness fitness a bit over the top, put your earphones in and listen to your music, or better still if they could issue earphones to instructor and pupils even better.overall would stay here again mostly because of excellent staff and great dining facilities, tried to upgrade to bigger room on 2nd floor as daughter came on second week but none available, would like to book 2nd floor next time round.also no rush for putting out towels, have your breakfast then wander down after 10oclock sun loungers available, very civilised. thanks again to manager and staff for a happy stay.More

Not as good
We have been coming to this hotel for the last eight years mostly twice a year, May and December, the staff are wonderful and could not help enough, the hotel needs some updating in places but is clean and tidy, food is good but limited, the thing in our opinion that now lets the place down are the people now coming to the hotel, very noisy with no respect for others and lots more uncontrolled childrenMore
