Fancy extras like Jacuzzi® rooms and beach waiters mean that luxury is the tag word at the adults-only Sensimar Seaside Suites & Spa.
It’s easy to see why Forbes – the US mag famous for its lists – voted this adults-only hideaway one of the world’s most romantic hotels. It’s wrapped in palm-filled gardens, so it feels really intimate, and it’s right on a quiet stretch of the Riviera Maya.
Luxe touches take the form of canopied daybeds and beach waiters, and junior suites with Jacuzzis® come as standard. To top it all off, the dining set-up is Gourmet Inclusive, so you’ve got the run of eight high-calibre restaurants and as many bars.

Another level of all inclusive
Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. As soon as we arrived we lucked out with our bellboy. He offered to pick us up later in his golf buggy to show us all of the hotel's facilities then drop us off wherever we'd like to have dinner. For the rest of the trip he called our room every evening he was on duty to ask if we'd like a lift to dinner anywhere- although all the restaurants were within a maximum twenty minute walk from our room, we did take him up on it a couple of times. The food is great but the Thai fusion restaurant is particularly fantastic. The Italian restaurant was also a highlight- there are two of these but they have the same menu, I'd recommend the one of the 'American' side of the hotel as the ambience and decor was a slight cut above the other. The breakfasts on the beach were out of this world, but if you want something a bit different the Culinarium is fantastic in the mornings for made to order dishes. The all inclusive option also covers room service which is a great perk for lazy days- but the food is definitely better in the restaurants. I'm not normally one for hotel entertainment but the casino nights Thomson put on are worth a go, as they auction off hotel freebies with your winning points- we won a massage at the spa which was fantastic. If you choose to opt for a massage, ask for one at the sea front. They have a beautiful wooden open air structure that looks straight out over the ocean. The beach butler service is a huge perk. We were also big fans of the double day beds but you do need to get up fairly promptly to grab them- however on the days we didn't manage to get there on time we happily swung over to the pool and beach on the 'american' side and were able to find one there. Of the pools the newer one was our preference as it was a little quieter and much bigger. More
Nice place, was expecting more - not really my typical holiday though...
Firstly, please bear in mind this was my first all inclusive holiday and I usually stay in hostels and guest houses when I'm away. I had a fantastic week, largely due to the presence of my old school friends, as we were here for a friends wedding, therefore the set up was good for us. However if I were to have been on a romantic getaway, which is what I believe this place positions itself as, I would feel a little short changed. Rooms - All 5 rooms we had throughout the hotel were lovely. I actually think the standard rooms are better (premium rooms are part of a large tower block, so you get the views but at the expense of feeling like you're in Benidorm) Food - Pretty average. Appreciate it's hard to cater for so many people, but often food was dry, overdone or tasteless. Drinks - Again cocktails were average, however we weren't limited to local spirits, which was excellent Staff - Lovely, all very helpful Beach - One area has a the constant stench of sewage. The sea is really shallow which was great for ball games, but don't expect to be doing any snorkelling or swimming. So overall, yes, lovely place, I was just expecting a little more from a 5 star Mexican resort.More
The rooms were very spacious and comfortable bed linen and towels changed daily. The staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. The choice of restaurants was excellent and the the food and service was excellent. There were plenty of activities if you wanted to do them or you could just relax at one of the pools.Overall our holiday was excellent and would recommend it.More
Holiday overall excellent only issue with approx 30 minute wait for lunch or dinner if not eating at buffet restaurant. The standards of the hotel and the gardens were fantastic and all the staff were very polite and cheerfullMore
Great Winter Break
My wife and I needed a winter break and our travel agent recommended this hotel. It was our first holiday in Mexico and we were very impressed by the whole experience. The staff in the Sensimar are excellent and the food in most of the restaurants was of the highest standard: as good as we have eaten anywhere in the world. Our room, though spacious, was a little dingy and in need of an update, but this is a minor grumble compared to our overall enjoyment of the hotel's facilities. In summary we enjoyed ourselves so much that we intend to return next year.More
