Not really a 4 star hotel. Its an odd setup. The reception looks like its stuck in corner of a corridor. Rooms feel like they are in a prefabricated portacabin. Clean but not quite. This is a transit hotel for business workers. The breakfast is not good. The cooked option looks good but unfortunately is stone cold on the plate. Cannot fault out stay

Got an Uber from the airport to hotel. Was only a 15 minute drive. Area looks very run down. Everywhere around it was a massive building site. Hotel is very close to the metro with easy access to the main city.
Has local shops and a mall called Gran Via in a 5 minute walking distance.
We arrived at 1pm but check in wasnt until 3pm. Went to ask to leave the suitcases at reception until check in but they informed us...

Bathrooms are Weird

The rooms and beds were really comfortable and it was nice and quiet. However the design of the bathrooms are not great. Everything is out in the open. Theres a huge lack of privacy and if youre travelling with friends or family, its pretty awkward at times! Breakfast was also really good!...

We stayed in this hotel during our visit to Barcelona and Montserrat. Fira Congress Hotel is located in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat in the Metropolitan area of Barcelona. The area seems to be an industrial zone as there are low-rise buildings marked Porsche, BMW, Mini, Kawasaki, Jansen, etc.
The hotel seems to cater to business travelers as there are meeting rooms and function rooms.
But we are not business traveler...

Convenient hotel choice due to being near to the airport. The area was extremely quite and felt very derelict, but this could just purely be due to the time of season. Good spacious and clean room and bathroom. However, the hallway carpet was full of stains, and the doors looked over worn, the halls need a good remodel to be honest.
