smart, stylish new hotel on the edge of Poblenou

Really smart, stylish new hotel on the edge of Poblenou.
The room was well laid out and spacious with a large bed. Very comfortable and modern.
I could hear water and footsteps from the room upstairs.
Local block wasn't as exciting as the rest of Poblenou, but it was close to metro a beach....

A great option for business if you are in the area. Rooms are clean and modern, beds comfortable, and I'm not sure what the negative reviews are talking about as I never experienced anything but friendly staff, generous breakfast, and quiet nights on the 5th floor. My only complaint is the odd step up to the bed area, where I tripped several times. I do think the open bathroom is not a good solution if you are sha...

We stayed for 3 nights during our visit to Barcelona.
The hotel is well located - 10 minute drive/30 minute walk to the centre of the city or to Barceloneta ( which was our favourite location).
It is a 10 minute walk to the beach. There are local restaurants, bars and shops in the immediate vicinity.

Very conveniently located, five minutes walk to a metro station (yellow line) that brings you directly to Barceloneta, city center (barrio gotico), plaza de catalunya five minutes walk to the ramblas de poblenou. Ten minutes walk to the beach. Taxi stand across the street. Friendly reception. Nice modern rooms, good service. Rooftop bar with pretty large swimming pool. Excellent breakfast. Recommended...

The Paxton is a stunning hotel from an aesthetic point of view. It is a lovely space to walk into after a long day out. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful aesthetic, some of the more practical/helpful nuances of a hotel are missing, which is a shame given the cost of staying there.
