Not sure where to begin. Let's start with the main reason I've given them 5 stars.
The Staff - they couldn't do enough for us. They were always polite, approachable and had a smile. I let them know before we arrived that it was my partner's birthday. When we arrived they informed us that they had given us a free upgrade. Wow! Not expected. Then on his actual birthday they had gone to the effort to give him a birthd...

The Worst Experience

I checked in with my family a total of 4 people.
I took my minor son to the rooftop restaurant to get him a sandwich and a coke in the evening. I paid by card and we waited for the sandwich which arrived from downstairs. We collected both the drink and sandwich and returned to the room.

Nice petit hotel. Strategically located near restaurants and pubs, 60 meters from Casa Batllo.
Kindly personnel in the reception no matter the time I got there, always with a smile towards the clients.
I've been there for 3 nights, no regrets!
Excellent breakfast in the -1 floor.
Has a Starbucks right next to the entrance.
10 minutes walking to Plaza Catalunya.

First impressions absolutely stunning hotel.
Check in the young lady was lovely and so helpful.
Room well worth paying the extra for a suite with balcony.
Central to explore gorgeous Barcelona.
Just a couple of things not making it a full score.
17 euros for a burger served with fries (crisps)
When queried with a rather rude male receptionist he blamed the translation.

We stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 young kids in a family room which was advertised as basically 2 connecting rooms connected by a mini hallway.
Unfortunately the room we had did not match the description - we had the two bedrooms but instead of one queen/king bed and one room with twin beds, we had two rooms with double beds in. This is no good for a family of four with young kids - they were never going to ...
