Hotel Club E

Our 5th visit to Calis Beach in as many years this time staying at Hotel Club E for the first time having previously stopped at the Oykun Hotel and the Mutlu. For the period 3rd – 17th September 2020 we (family of 3) stayed at the Hotel Club E and can say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Credit to the staff at the hotel who have evidently worked hard to satisfy the specific measures to protect everyone (staff and guests) against Covid-19. So as I write this review I state this is review and the opinions shared are my own. The first thing I would say that you need to consider is that hotels in Calis are often not comparative to hotels in the UKs. Having been to Turkey before the hotel achieved my expectations and that Hotel Club is very similar to the rooms at the Mutlu and Oykun Check in and Check out Official check in time is 13:00 but as we arrived late afternoon this did not present an issue as we were greeted at reception who were all very polite and helpful. Our cases kindly transported by a willing member of staff to room 206 on the 1st floor. Ground floor would have been preferred with having a young child and with no lifts available this may present issues to less mobile guests so worth bearing in mind. Check out is 12:00 PM but with an early flight this was fine but you do have the option to extend the room (if required) subject to a supplementary charge of £10 arranged at reception. Room (206 1st floor) The room was slightly disappointing but only because we (2 x adults and 1 x toddler) had evidently been allocated a double room with an extra folder up bed set up between two single beds. We really needed a triple room (not sure if they were available as just got on with it rather than raising any level of dissatisfaction). The room set up did present problems for the three of us as they are not big in size although they offer great views of the poolside and sea view. For a couple, room 206 would have been generally ok. A small TV, plenty of cupboard storage, mini bar, air conditioning and small bathroom (no bath). Minibar/Fridge I wouldn’t bother with this to be honest. For a supplementary charge of £2 a day the fridge is not cold enough to store any food or drinks. On day 3 we cancelled it havening first thought the fridge was broken but to be told this was as cold as they get. Safety Deposit Box Subject to a supplementary charge of £2 a day arranged at reception. The hotel management accept no responsibility for the loss of valuable items from the room. Air Conditioning Fitted in all rooms and free of charge. It was ok but we needed to apply some manual intervention to the fan to get the full benefit. Electricity Supply The electricity supply to all rooms is 220 volt. Internet Connection See reception for the Wi-Fi code. Its free and great signal strength especially when you need to complete them dam passenger locator forms (read up on them before you go folks as if you are not savvy on a smart phone it may present issues within 48 hours of departure). Breakfast Now I struggled with breakfast but that is because I’m not a great fan of a traditional open style Turkish breakfast (serves between 8:00 -10:00am). You can opt for a plain omelette if like me the sists of cheese (beyaz peynir, kaşar etc.), butter, olives, eggs, muhammara, tomatoes, cucumbers, jam, honey, and kaymak, sucuk don’t cut it. Due to the Covid-19 measures service can be slow mind whereas ordinarily his would not have presented an issue I wouldn’t think. Bar The bar is located outdoors adjacent to the swimming pool and is open from 10:00 – late. At the bar you can grab soft drinks, cocktails, alcoholic beverages, coffee, tea etc. The staff are great and made a real fuss on my son to the fact he was often the one that wanted to head down for a drink on the evening before we ventured out in Calis. Restaurant No comment as never used it although reputation is good I understand. Pool A really clean and well maintained pool surrounded by a sun terrace with sun loungers, Located at the front of the complex is a huge lawned garden leading out in the direction of the beach (see photos). Location – Great location in my opinion. It remains only a short walk to the main town (10 mins) and the sea front (10 mins) where you’ll be spoilt for choice for bars and restaurants etc.

Hi,I book this hotel based on reviews, I really don't know why leaving good reviews for this hotel, it was absolutely shocking. Our room was dated, smell was disgusting, everything was dusty. We asked to change our room they kindly agreed, but it was the same story, it's not cleaned properly, stains everywhere on bedding, mattress omg can break your back. We was so disappointed, but we get use to it, but then someone moved in next door, I had feeling like we are in same room, we could hear everything there was basically door in our room what Leeds to other room just locked, we didn't have any privacy. We told hotel staff lackily they was moving out next day. So breakfast 7 days the same thing hah I never seen so poor breakfast akfast in my life, only good thing is nice garden, pool looks nice but it's too deep for non swimmers. Oh and u have to pay for fridge 2 pound a day, fridge is like 30 year old, and also sun beds they ganna charge u for everything so be ready. In general I don't recommend to stay in Calis beach area its boring, look for something in fethiye Town centre, or marmaris. Hope it will help someone to save disspotment. Good luck!!
