I booked the Chicago Collection Hotel River North based on the photos, amenities, and descriptions online, and what I arrived to was nothing close to what was advertised.

Additional fees for a prepaid room were not revealed at the time of the booking. Additionally, at check-in, the additional fees were not explicitly mentioned. I was just handed a slip of paper to sign and pay $100 worth in junk fees...

Unexpected charges after checkout and confusing folio

Stayed here this summer and the billing was a mess. I was hit with unexpected repeat charges for the same stay, and the Guest Folio at checkout listed extra line items/taxes that didnt match my booking. The charges continued after I left, and I had to get my credit card company involved to reverse them. Staff offered little help or explanation.
