Basic hotel that needs a renewal

Rooms are very dark and cleaning not done properly (previous guest trash still in bins). Shampoo in shower empty. Could not find any of the advertised lactose or gluten free at breakfast. No signs as to which are what....

Ive stayed at Scandic Falkoner 34 times a year for the past six years, and the hotel has clearly gone downhill.
Rooms are poorly maintained and often not properly cleaned. Ive arrived to unvacuumed floors, scraped-up walls, and this time even holes in the walls. The heating/AC vent was awkwardly placed on the windowsill, adding to the sense of neglect. The rooms were always dark, but now it seems like it is done...

The hotel and the amenities were very high quality. The staff were super friendly and helpful. It is located very close to the metro so it is easy to get around.
We stayed in one of the family suites and it was very clean and well tended to. There was a mini fridge, kettle, Nespresso machine and hairdryer in the room so the basics all covered. The TVs allowed you to Chrome cast which is great for children.

Sustainability cant be an excuse for poor cleaning and for example, not vacuuming the floor. However, the hotel has an excellent location which partly compensated this bad experience....
