We had a familyroom for 2 adults and 2 young children. The room was very clean, staff we friendly and it was easy to visit the city centre by train. The railwaystation is very close. We were there for 2 nights.

The room was very nicely decorated and most importantly, it was clean. The breakfast was delicious with a wide range of choices.
The conference facilities were a bit worn - especially the chairs in the conference rooms where very worn down. ...

A new Scandic Low Cost Concept?

Scandic Sydhavnen basically offers a basic hostel experience of considerably lower standard than most Scandic hotels. It might be a low-cost concept I wasnt aware of? Rooms lack usual amenities such as water boiler, coffee/tea, refrigerator, slippers, bathrobes, extra pillows etc. Rooms arent cleaned unless you order a day in advance, information thats not passed on at check in. I recommend this hotel if you dont like having breakfast. The hotel is nicely located, close to the train. The rooms are also quite spacious and clean, and the staff is friendly. Unfortunately, breakfast is a misunderstanding and a disappointment. Every day it was a struggle: for a table, for the staffs attention, for food, for dishes, and even for cutlery.

This was our first visit to Copenhagen, and unfortunately, our experience at this hotel created a poor initial impression. It is just not acceptable for any hotel at this level to have a very poor check-in service. We approached the desk with two free personnel.
