Limited communal areas for the number of guests on site. The areas are restricted even more by the exclusion zone of The Level- only available to those prepared to pay a further premium of 60 Euros per person per day. A poor marketing decision which is likely to irritate the majority of the guests who have paid to have the enjoyment of all the facilities of the hotel. The dining restaurant is particularly unsatisfactory; crowded; too many tables close together; noisy environment; more limited choice of menu than expected for such a star rated hotel; staff have to work at a hectic pace to accommodate so many guests. Health and safety concerns: corridor to room was lit with only half of available lighting during the day - too dark to find key lock on door and extra care needed on stairs. Four separate complaints made to management to turn on all lighting for safety - no action taken except to offer a change of room on the fourth complaint- which would not resolve the safety issue for other guests. Room phone was in very dirty state- an actual health hazard- another complaint ignored by management. It is concerning when management do not heed the complaints of guests and take the appropriate action. Room was the only part of the hotel that lived up to expectation.

We moved to this hotel after checking out of the gf fanabe hotel nearby which was horrendous. It was a breath of fresh air. Spotless with tasteful decor and spacious rooms. I really worried that I would be a little bothered that we were not staying at ‘The level’ but to be honest, it made no difference to us. Great food, fantastic view. The coffee was not great but that almost seems the norm in hotels in the canaries. I loved looking out to sea each morning as we had breakfast. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The entertainment is understated and tasteful, usually a singer or musician. The cocktails were fantastic. Our room was 406 and we had a big terrace and a view out to sea. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems as the whole complex is on a steep hill. The stairs are worth it for the views though. It’s a 15 minute walk downhill to duque beach which is really nice. Loungers on the beach were 6 euros for the day or 50 for a double bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I’m picky!

We had a lovely one week stay with our 11m son. We choosed the level room which was vert spacious and had a lovely sea view with a huge terrace. We enjoyed a lot the level lobby and pool. The only complain we have is about food quality during lunch and dinners. The meat seemed and tasted like very poor quality as well as the fish. Next time we will probably go with breakfest only. But overall we recommend it a lot!
