Mitsis Alila Resort & Spa

I had an amazing expirience in Delfinia Resort, the stuff was really polite and the animation give us the best welcome in the hotel at the biginning, the food is fine, and the rooms are clean, the barmans always nice and smoking, but we loved the animators in the resort, specially Spiderman(Momo).

From the moment we arrived in Rhodes and took our private taxi to the airport which was then followed by a free room upgrade upon arrival in resort, this was the start of a special fortnight for us. Having not had a beach holiday for 2 years and to have had our trip to Jamaica cancelled 2 weeks before, this was a last minute decision to come to Mitsis Alila and was just what we needed! The hotel is very grand in appearance, high ceilings, mezzanines, restaurants around a very green courtyard, loads of restaurants, sun beds and options for being “in the thick of it” (safely of course) or hidden away. In short it was whatever you wanted the holiday to be...and as referenced, all with safety in mind. We slipped into a very easy routine of brunch in the morning at Ouzeri, afternoons in either Italian, Burger or Ouzeri and evenings at Pan Asian, Greek or Ouzeri. We did try the buffet restaurant on a number of occasions but this was a little less intimate for us. We also loved the fact the we had the All Day Bar to ourselves pretty much every night as most people congregated near the entertainment. In addition we also tried the Crepe restaurant (Addicted to Freddo Espresso and waffles), the Pita place (Gyros and Chicken Wraps) and the Tex Mex too. Overall we were very impressed with the choice of food and places to eat, drink and be merry! When we weren’t eating or drinking the drinks service whether at pool or beach, the beach and Theater Bars and the Pizza place offered plenty of refreshments whils we basically lay down and did nothing!! We did actually use the gym 5 times too, the booking system meaning you get the gym to yourselves which again in the current climate made us feel very safe training! The icing on the cake for this little gem is the staff...from Artemis (we saw her every day!) who is literally the warmest, most genuine person you could meet to Nikos and the team at brunch and Pan Asian Every day who made us feel very welcome and special (thank you all)! To the amazing Theodora and the entire team at the all day bar to Nikos and George at Theater Bar to Elias and the Beach Bar team including Takis and George delivering drinks! To the lovely human at the Pizza oven every day who was a delight (so are his pizzas!) to Irina and the team at the Italian and George, Andreas and the Teams at Burger and Ouzeri...all were first rate and as friendly and genuine as anyone you can meet, again thank you. Last person I’ll mention is Savvas, served us at Pita Place, Tex Mex and the Crepe cafe...what a lovely genuine person. Thank you all! We had a great time and we’ll definitely come back to a Mitsis again.
