    The Cleopatra Luxury Makadi Bay's ideal if you enjoy a swim. It's parked in front of a feather-soft strip of sand, and the gardens are loaded with eight different pools.

      The main restaurant is a buffet affair, with a choice of international cuisine everyday, and themed nights taking place several times a week. Meanwhile, little ones have access to meal times slightly earlier, to avoid the rush.

    I was at Cleopatra 7-17 March and was really lucky to be able to complete my holiday and fly home as scheduled before the flight cancellations came into effect. The hotel responded well to the Coronavirus issue by implementing temperature checks for guests and staff, increasing cleaning measures and making masks available. Regarding the holiday, this was excellent as usual, the same friendly staff who can’t do enough for you, excellent choice of food and custom made cocktails. There is plenty to do if you want and plenty of places to relax if that’s what you’re there for. It was good to see another block of rooms being renovated, as per other reviews some of them are a bit tired looking but the programme of renovations will sort this out. Anything that is wrong - eg my hairdryer wasn’t working - is fixed almost as soon as you report it. This was my 10th visit to the hotel and I’d happily go back another 10 times! I’m hoping I’ll be able to go in September and November as planned. It was awful to see the staff so worried as they were about to go on indefinite leave, my thoughts are with you and hopefully you’ll be open again before too long, and I’ll be back later in the year.

    We spent one week at this resort from february 28th till march 6th 2020. Every part of our stay was memorable. From check in till check out. Our room has nice sea view, terrace and 2 bedroom with one living room and one bathroom, so it was perfect for family with 3 kids. Room was clean, towels changed everyday and what is best at this part of year - You dont need AC. Restaurants and bars were with good quality and quantity of food and beverages, we did not visit any of a la cart restaurant. There are tennis court, archery, place for beach sports - volleyball, boccia, windsurfin - our kids tried everything. At the main bar there are 2 pools tables and 2 table tennis tables. AI is really worth it. One can choose from 4 pools, one of them heated. Weather was pretty good. First 3 days windy so You realy need jacket for the evening, but last 3 days almost no wind and temperatures close to 30 - what a nice escape from winter time in my country. Red sea as usually clear and with spectacular underwater life. It was our third stay at makadi bay, we still choose different hotel and cleopatra did not dissapoint

    We spent four weeks at this resort in January/February this year and we were very impressed indeed. Whilst some of the buildings and furnishings are getting tired, they are always clean and there is a current refurbishment programme going on and I’m sure this will resolve any issues Two main assets here are the location on the sea, the amount of space around the complex(this is a large hotel) and the staff. Not only are the people in all areas very good and helpful, the management structure allows these people to resolve issues and do what is needed to satisfy the guest. The restuarant food is very good and sufficiently varied to satisfy our length of stay. We will without question be returning again.

    Hotel is of high quality and gives a relaxing break, Been to many good hotels in Hurghada and this is one of the best. Staff are courteous and friendly, They cannot do enough to to be make you holiday relaxing. Table service for all meals and at all the bars. Alcohol is free flowing and of good quality. I would say the food is varied and of good quality, If you are a fussy eater then some might struggle but we found this not to be an issue and ate well throughout our stay. There are a la carte restaurants there to use once during your stay, fish and Italian, both were really good, service again in these restaurants was good. Amenities are good, pool area and bars are good too. While we were there during winter, the opportunity to sit and relax where you want was never a problem, The hotel is spacious and has different pools to meet everyone’s needs I’d definitely recommend this hotel and we will for sure be returning.

A special thank you to Musti who went out of his way to make sure all our needs are met and made our holiday even more special with his detailed caring.
