Small charming hotel in Istanbul

Small charming hotel in Old Town Istanbul. It is on the tram tracks - about a five minute walk for access to the tram. Payment is by credit card- a little more than $1. The staff, especially Irfan, were extremely helpful. Breakfast is included, and they have quite a variety. "American" coffee is extremely weak, so we suggest the espresso. Good hotel in great location

The Empire Palace Hotel in Istanbul was in a great location for tourist sites and plenty of restaurants. Everything was a short walk away. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good. Selim on the front desk was eager to please and knowledgeable about things to do and restaurants to go to, and was always happy to help. Thoroughly recommend this property and its staff . Excellent stay. They gave us really good rooms. The hotel is centrally located in Fatih. Had everything you need. AC rooms with hot/cold running water. Extremely co-operative staff . Shout out to Mehmet and Irfan who made our stay memorable helping out with directions, arranging taxis and even excursions. Highly recommended!!...

The location is good, in walking distance of many sites. The hotel is old and in need of renovations. The bathrooms are small and with very few toiletries. The rooms are smallish and with little space where to put your things. The bar and restaurant staff are friendly and fast. The reception staff not terribly so. Fairly quiet area after midnight but in front of a mosque, with call to prayer at 4.30am...

An old traditional hotel in a superb location. Very handy for the excellent transport network in Istanbul ( trams ,trains,ferries,underground) The tram stop is 5 min walk away. Taxis cant drop off or pick up directly outside but the hotel staff will help you with your luggage to/from your taxi. The front of house staff were very helpful.
