Cascade Wellness Resort

I signed up for a 7-day fitness training program and I have to say the service in the resort largely exceeded my expectations. The hotel kitchen adapted to my schedule so that I could have breakfast right after my morning session - whilst being very flexible with my dietary requirements. That said the AXN fitness team was by far the very best part of the experience. My plan was fully personalised from A to Z, and the coach and owner Michele really cared about getting the best out of me in his program. Not only did I massively improve my fitness but I also got to visit great places around Lagos - and most importantly: got to know great people. Would highly recommend to anyone!

I'm rather torn with this one as it's better than three but falls shy of four stars. The location is wonderful with a super surrounding area and the hotel itself is lovely. Breakfast service was excellent, room service was more miss than hit, as was reception - it was a cold check-in experience, to be frank, with me feeling like I was the last customer to be served at the end of a tedious day. It was a long walk to the room as it's a big resort and I was initially wowed; nice private terrace close to the pool. By halfway through the trip, however, I had handful of concerns about the state of the room - it seemed a little 'worn' on closer inspection - and the number of ants in the ensuite was off-putting. While it was a shame to complain, I must credit the prompt assistance of Guest Relations, who also spoke to me when I checked out. We both agreed that hopefully it would be a better stay next time and - while it's not top of my list for a return visit - I'm not against finding out.

A truly lovely hotel which we have now visited every year for the last 5. It deserves its 5 stars. Accommodation always spotless and we had a lovely apartment near the pool (one of 4) the grounds are lovely with superb views. Staff polite and very helpful. For us the football academy Estima is a draw for out 10 year old football mad boy. Ben Beaumont who runs the academy is fantastic. Also what draws us every year is the gym AXN1 connected to h the hotel. Brilliant equipment, great classes and staff are terrific .. the boss Michele Mellone is terrific and knows his stuff. We will be back next year for a lovely relaxing luxurious break.
