A real gem of a hotel

What a unique and beautiful hotel. The art deco decor alone is worth the stay. We loved every moment of our Britannia experience. Friendly staff, a beautiful lobby and bar area, complimentary wine and breakfast. Staying here feels like taking a step into a more elegant past, but with all the modern amenities one expects. Wed definitely stay here again and wish we could have stayed longer....

The first thing to say about this hotel is that all of the staff are very good - polite and helpful. Breakfast each day was also very good, with plenty of variety and all of it top quality.
The hotel has been maintained in its original 1940s Art Deco style. While this means it looks very good, it also means the soundproofing is not good. The hard floors mean sound carries. This was evidenced by a late night disturba...

This was one of those times when absolutely everything was excellent from the pillows, service location, ambience, and the food. We would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was fantastic helping us out with transportation and sightseeing, as well as breakfast service as well as the room service. Great job everyone....

We had another lovely stay at the Britannia Hotel in Lisbon, this time for 5 nights.
This is our favourite hotel anywhere. The staff are so kind at reception, Larisa and her male colleague (apologies for forgetting his name) were both so welcoming and kind. It felt like a home from home when we arrived. It also a pleasure to meet doorman/porter Omar again along with his new young colleagues. We always love to see Om...
