Glorious view of the river from our room. Very helpful staff. Beautiful rooftop breakfast/lounge area. The fado dinner was outstanding: Very intimate setting with 8 of us at one table getting to know each other. Copious delicious meal with repeated refills on wine pairings. The musicians were very talented too. A wonderful introduction to Lisbon....

We were recommended to Memmo Alfama by a friend from Lisbon. It was a great choice, slap bang in the beautiful heart of Old Town Lisbon. The wonderful thing is, that it is located down a secluded alleyway which feels (but isn't) far away from the madding crowds ! I met up with a friend in Lisbon and we stayed at this wonderful little hidden gem. The Memmo Alfama is a charming boutique hotel. It was like an oasis of calm and beauty in the center of the beautiful (and extremely busy) Alfama area. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were gorgeous with great beds and bedding, high pressure showers, just all round relaxed elegance and luxury. I will definitely stay...
