We stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Luxembourg from November 9th to November 13th, and our experience was excellent from start to finish. Upon arrival, we received an upgrade to a suite on the 19th floor, the top floor, which was a fantastic surprise. The views over the forest and the sunrise each morning were truly stunning.

We have always booked city centre hotels in Europe but this was a good deal on BA with flights. Although transport is free in Luxembourg, we had no idea how to get to the hotel. This should be on their website. We took a tram from the airport to the Central station and left our bags there to be able to see the city before going to the hotel later in the evening. 2 night stay in summer. Hotel could do with a revamp to bring it upto standard of other hotels in the chain. Free bus into centre is handy. Breakfast had a good selection....

This place has had its days, a long time ago. Elevators are noisy (sleep quality), the decor is outdated, room furniture partly worn out. The breakfast room is far too small for the crowd at busy hours. In the evenings it functions as restaurant, serving overpriced food. No restaurant alternative nearby. The staff of the hotel is aware of the shortcomings, and tries to compensate, being very friendly, efficient, and ...

Over booked hotel, nonchalant staff

Do Not Stay Here.
I arrived at the hotel at 11pm at night to be told there was no room available due to a flood.
Im a Hilton Honors member, meaning the hotel would have full phone and email details. No attempt was made to contact me prior to my arrival.
The hotel staff were aggressively unapologetic about the situation.
They explained to me that the only option available was a 45 minute taxi to another hote...
