The Gates is a fantastic hotel. The views over the city from the upper floors are spectacular, and there is a modicum of quiet that you cant find in other hotels on the weekend. Carlos in reception was incredibly kind and helpful. The breakfast was overpriced and essentially featured no service and the evening activities in the lounge were occasionally disruptive, but for location and simplicity, it was a wonderful ...

Very good service with Carlos. He is very kind and helpful. We have a very good experience with this hotel and the staff. They gave us a good memory of Miami. I would come again. Thanks a lot....

Great jumping off point for cruise ship. Excellent staff. Diana on from desk was most helpful. Room clean and well kept. Breakfast decent price although no tea. Just be careful on what taxi to book for trip to cruise terminal. Ask first about price....

This was booked as part of an Iglu deal prior to a cruise. It's not a good hotel. It's barely even in South Beach, which is a 10 minute walk away. The entrance is uninspiring with a dark, side pathway leading to a dark reception and somewhat disinterested reception staff.
Our room was bad - we looked out on to a dirty wall, semi-covered in unhealthy plant growth about two metres from our window, so the natural dayli...

I was a little bit apprehensive when my mom booked this property bc the google review were a bit low, and now that Ive stayed here I cant figure out why anyone would rate it below 4. Everything was clean and beautiful! so close to the beach (5 min walk) and lovely pool if you dont feel like going out.
