The Suite that we booked was a Queen Bed with a Kitchenette. It was a spacious suite that was clean and had a comfortable bed. The furniture was a bit dated but gave the suite a hint of character. The TV was a bit small: probably a 40 inch TV. A 50 inch TV would have been a more appropriate size. I've stayed at Ruby foos twice. Its the perfect location away form downtown Montreal while still being close to absolutely everything. All of my interaction with staff was pleasant. Housekeeping did wake me at 930am to let me know that check out was at 11, and despite telling them I had late check out, she knocked again at 1055. Two simple changes would make it a perfect cozy hotel

Room and staff were wonderful. Only thing I'd suggest is that they put brighter lighting in the rooms. The yellow lights were very dim even when every light was turned on. A light over the magnified mirror in the bathroom would have been good too. Also, a bar on the wall opposite the curtain would have been good support....

Room type: King bed with kitchenette.
I was horrified to find MOLD and hair under the mattress. The front desk said he had nothing available except a 2-bed room for 4 people and said "you are only one", showing no urgency to resolve the issue . The check-in is at 4pm. We arrived at 5:20 pm. The rooms we booked werent ready and the receptionist told me to wait 10 minutes. 20 minutes later still no room. She told me another ten minutes. We waited a total of 45 minutes in the lobby and our rooms were still not ready but we had to leave for a supper reservation.
