#1 WORST hotel in NYC!
31 Mar , 2020 Kymehhh
Absolutely disgusted with this hotel! The staff weren't trained properly as I was misled information about checking out. Sadly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, my partner and I had to check out 4 days early and fly back to Australia. We asked if anything was required of us, or if we would be charged for anything upon checkout the man at the desk said no it's a usual check out process nothing else. When we checked out the next day we were told the security fee for the hotel would be fully refunded to us and there were no additional fees. I found out I was charged a hefty $305USD fee 3 days AFTER check out, i did not receive a receipt or a message explaining what this fee was for. I've tried contacting the hotel for 3 weeks now, I've even asked my Travel agent to lodge a complaint and have still not heard back from them. On top of that the hotel rooms aren't sound proof so you sleep with constant noise of sirens and honking all night, the aircon is crazy loud and sounds like bits of glass are blowing around inside of it, the room itself is tiny, you have an inch between your knees and the wall when using the toilet and no mini bar to keep drinks cold, and the ice machine was broken on our floor and the 2 floors above and below us. Seemed only 2 elevators worked so there was always a long wait and extremely crammed elevator experience. Apparently there was meant to be free breakfast but no one told me so I missed out everyday. Do not stay here unles you are happy to waste your money. And if you read the reviews I'm not the only person saying this!

It Is a lovely place, very different. Very Nice designed. So close to the Columbus Circle, to the Times Warner Mall, to the Central Park corner...a Little bit small the rooms. But If You are looking for a different EXPERIENCE...just Go!
Great lobby and location and that's it!

If you look for the perfect location this is it! Not far from central park and the subway, you are close to everything. About the hotel itself, it could be better... When you get in the lobby you smell the most delicate perfume you could smell in NYC making you think you're in heaven and then... you get to the room and you get disappointed. The bathroom is so small that you can hardly seat on the toilets. I had 3 rooms in 4 days. First room the heat was so noisy I couldn't sleep, second one the sink was just not clean and/or too old but the only thing I know, the water got yellow and took 10 minutes to go in the pipe... All and for all, choose it for the design of the common parts, the staff and the location not for the rooms...
A Fading Beauty

I have been a yearly visitor to this hotel for some time, as I attend an art fair in the city once a year and have chosen Hudson because of its proximity to the fair. I visited last in March of this year and could easily see the wear and tear of the place. Maintenance and service is clearly kept as low as possible, eating options reduced to vending machines. I received stained (but washed) bed linen and the room and hallways reek of either cigarettes or pot. I remember this once as a trendy and vibrant hotel and as a destination of partying New Yorkers, but that is no more, and perhaps it is easier to get a good night's sleep for this reason. This is not by any means the worst hotel in the world, but the bleakness of the place and lack of ambition on behalf of the management, make an extended stay here truly a melancholic experience.
Cheap but good. Nice customer service.

I stayed at Hudson one night due to the schedule change during my business trip and even though it was just a night over, I was treated with sincere hospitality that I appreciated a lot especially because my trip was full of hassle.
